The cars are either going to be bought back in a massive embarrassing operation, or made “better than new” with brand-new, full-capacity battery packs. With the rate of fires, it’s a pretty good gamble as long as you can park it outside.

Who the heck is paying these “dealer markups”? Blows my mind.

I’m very curious what will happen. 2019- owners like me might even get higher-capacity packs at the end of it. But how long GM will try to push off a final resolution, we’ll see.

He picked one of the least efficient and lowest-range BEVs available in the US today, which didn’t help.

They really need to do a better job explaining a few things a lot of people seem convinced of the opposite of:

Good thing the grid is getting ever greener!

And the tax credit is usually factored into leases because the leasing company can use it to offset their tax liability. It really isn’t that big of an obstacle.

Too bad it’s built in Canada!

The Pacifica is built in Canada, and the Bolt is on an indefinite stop-sale...it’s funny timing, that’s for sure.

I test drove an S60 T8 R-Design and holy crap, the ride was terrible. The salesman said “well, this is our sporty trim so it has the big wheels...”

L engages one-pedal driving in my Bolt.

I’m curious about that too; the US EcoSport comes from India but the model is also made elsewhere - are we done with the ridiculous EcoSport?

Yeah, I’m peripherally involved in this kind of work and this is going to be a big project. The only correction I have to e_is_real_i_isnt’s post is that sewer lines always have breaches in them.

I feel like you should be able to clip through the “N64 glacier” in the center of the dashboard. My millenial video game mind won’t let me imagine it as solid.

I’d also prefer a different name for those. Torch loves noodling on stuff, it would be great to see what he could come up with.

Single owner. Probably bought brand new as a retirement car in 2004 and now on the market because it’s time for pops to hang up the keys.

My Chevy dealership experience was delightful because I came in at 4:30 on the last Saturday that GM had the $3750. They gave me $2000 off of the already best-in-the-area price they had on their website and we just went for it. But I’ve never had that pleasant of a time buying a car besides buying my grandmother’s CPO

Every conversation on the US tax credit that doesn’t note that America’s best-selling EVs come with no tax credit is half-baked at best.

I think very few electric F150s will make it off the lot while Ford is still in the tax credit zone.

I live in Allentown. There’s a Tesla Supercharger and an Electrify America CCS fast charger on either side of 476.
