Omg. That is wonderful! But I would like to claim that While I may eat all the berries, afterwards I do Not poop my way out after a berry-nap. Nope. That’s just the bears, hon. :)

Not all the time but yes often oils other that butter work better to achieve the results you seek: different flavor prominance, a moister (is that a word?) crumb, etc
Ahem, DELICIOUS purple dirt! ;)
How the fuck does she know about sea cucumbers but not cucumber-cucumbers is all I want to know?
Sea cucumbers! Omg, can you imagine eating one? If I’m remembering my high school biology class correctly, they are the ones that have the hideous defense mechanisms when attacked: they squirt poison slime at the predator, then if that doesn’t work I think they dissolve their body or something? Maybe they do some…
except, geez... If minimum was 15, that would be starting pay. She'd make MORE (since her job clearly doesn't see her as a minimum wage employee). Raising minimum always leads to the other workers getting raises, too. Always.
Exactly! If it was high school kids, I doubt I'd care that much. But the fact is, most of the people working these low wage jobs are adults and how are they supposed to get ahead and find higher paying work when college is astronomically expensive, ditto for childcare and housing, and every year the cuts to welfare…
Thank you! I'll tell my kids that next time they haveta finish the zucchini ;)
I’m so glad you responded! & again, I’m sorry you experience(d) that and damn, I wish we all could just chill on the passive aggressive parenting talk! Earlier today I was listening to a recent ThisAMericanLife podcast in which Ira calls judging other parents “america’s favorite pastime”... Right as I (initially) had…
Meh, my family eats taco night most nights.... It's not so bad ;)
Now, limes make things taste good. I don't know how many she bought, but they spruce up all manner of things
It sounds like she’s trying to show how hard it is to eat well/enough when poor is. So, good for her.... and I say that as someone who has never found need to say or think much [nice] about GP
I don’t know how i did this, but the word “interested” jumped from “if you’re....” To the start of the paragraph. In case my post above doesn’t totally make sense ;)
From everyone I know who has had a section, the planned ones are the clearly the best! I had an unplanned one that I’m not exactly glowing about, but it pleases me every time I learn of others who had better experiences, especially with unplanned ones! So I’m glad your 2nd was so great & I think we also share…
Hey there, I’m sorry you’re feeling like this article or ppl posting are giving you shit for having a c-section! I haven’t read any comments saying anything like that, but I can say-as someone who has had a section: for a year, it made me feel defensive. It made me feel like I failed. I was dealing with a stitched up,…
Haha! I don’t think talking about malpractice suits is such a great tactic... ;)
..And congrats all around :)
As another mom via vbac, to anyone wanting one I cannot stress the importance of finding a doc & hospital who are comfortable with them (and experienced in them, goes without sayin’). I transferred to a midwife practice/hospital 1hr away for my 2nd birth because my hometown hospital was going through one of their…
Doulas can be really helpful, but it sounds like she’s got 3ppl so she likely feels just fine with you guys! :)
I know! That mirrors my childhood in the 80s but now it’s illegal to grant my kids that freedom. I do it anyway in a lesser fashion, but I’m always scared someone’s gonna judge, or call the cops. Luckily most of my kids’ parents feel the same way, so maybe there’s safety (for us) in numbers?
