“The only way to win is not to play the game.”

OKC would’ve been an afterthought for Paul George if he hadn’t been forced into the situation for half of a season.

Uhhh.... Westbrook was drafted by OKC. And PG was traded there... The did decide to re-sign.  But that is not how they acquired either player. Correct??

Small market teams cannot compete with the major markets when trying to sign top tier free agents. Did they all hit on draft night? Yep. Did some pull off a great trade? Yup. SA didn’t sign Kawhi Leonard and neither did TOR, MIL didn’t sign Giannis, CLE initially didn’t sign LeBron and he only came back because of

This right here is a perfect example. There’s no reason that the Knicks should be a perennial dumpster fire. And they absolutely deserve to be hamstrung for their ineptitude and unwillingness to take a serious look at making changes for the better.

The kicker is that Ben Gordon made basically the same as Billups over the next 3 years. Billups gave DEN/NYK 3 very good years. The Pistons on the other hand got 54 games of Iverson then moved right in on Gordon and Villanueva. My GOD!! A couple of weeks after he signed Josh Smith, he traded Khris Middleton for

This is creative.  DET, CLE, MIN, SAC, etc. will always and forever be at a geographical disadvantage.

There’s a bunch more right up there too... Billups/McDyess to Denver for Iverson. Pistons get a broke down Iverson for 54 games while Denver (and then NYK) get 3 stellar years of Billups for $36MM. THEN he immediately goes out and signs Gordon and Villanueva who go on to make $33MM and $21MM, respectively over those

I totally agree. I don’t see a need for the draft but I also don’t see the NBA forgoing the spectacle of it.  If the NBA got rid of the draft, do they still have a rookie scale?  Are these rookies getting paid oodles w/o having even played?  Will veteran FA’s ever back that option in a CBA discussion?  I just see so

He also won on a gamble with Rip, having to give up an already elite scorer in Stackhouse to land him. He gave McDyess another chance. I think McDyess was lucky to get another chance b/c after his knee injury he played in 84 games the 3 seasons before Joey D signed him on. He really did look to be washed up before the

What about capping top draft pick opportunities. Say, for this conversation, the shitty team is my Pistons who draft in the top 5 or 10 for 2 consecutive years then they lose that privilege for the following 3 years. So if they fail to make the playoffs after their two years of awesome picks, they’re relegated to a

I have an unrelated question. How does Pitt have a “K” to start their call sign? I thought W=East and K=West of the Mississippi. Did this station have their call letters before “W” and “K” were assigned to the E/W?  Were they grandfathered in or something?

I don’t disagree with the protective gear aspect of football you bring up but I also think that because of that gear there are much more brutal hits. Just my opinion though. Both sports are grueling IMO.

He thought that he was bigger than all of this and that he would suffer no consequences. As I mentioned earlier, that final scene of the doc that showed him going right back to scamming while he was out on bail reflects how out of touch with reality he actually was. He (incorrectly) knew that he could dodge the

Bullseye. That final scene detailing his new business ventures while out on bail spelled out his modus operandi...

Colleges with D1 football programs have 85 scholarships to hand out each year. Then you need to account for walk-ons. It will near 100 kids. Most depth charts will go 4-5 deep. Bare minimum, you’re looking at 40+ individuals that will make up first string defense/offense/punt team/punt return team/FG team/KO team.

This is definitely a 68 year old dude named Larry...

Made a few edits as i didn’t proofread.  Rockets won multiple too and Cavs have only won one...

I love this comment. To add on from 1980-2005 the only teams to win NBA titles were the Lakers, Celts, Pistons, Bulls, and Spurs. That’s 5 teams over a 26 year span with the only exception being the Sixers in 1983. That’s it. It’s always been like this. If you extend this even further, from 1980-2018 only 10 teams

Mobley was a baller on the offensive end, man.
