There was no Church "strangehold." It was because of the Church that knowledge survived and later thrived.
Because the elderly, who vote more than any other demographic, would never pass anything like that.
Mother Teresa was a notoriously horrible person who simply had good PR.
As a communist, I don't care.
Mandated re-testing would simply be too expensive and time-consuming. DMVs are congested enough already simply through first-time licensors and car registrations.
I'm sorry, but the only reason to drink alcohol is to get drunk. It is a disgusting beverage with no taste that anyone can reasonably enjoy. You're just kidding yourself if you believe there's some form of enjoyment out of its "taste."
I agree that white men have certain privileges and generally are blind to how the culture favours them, but in this particular instance I don't understand how "straight white boys" might be any worse in online dating than other racial groups of men.

I've seen the film over twenty times in the last four years; two of those instances were in theaters for its 19th and 20th anniversary screenings.
No question. This films remains a unique representation of the transition between practical and CG. It has a beautiful balance of the two grounded by brilliant actors and an interesting premise. They could have done a lot with a sequel or even just media tie-ins.
