Crowley's role wasn't revealed until later in the season. They could have easily had John lacking a soul as well or have him not even be John at all.

I've always felt that the sixth season could have been much stronger if they brought back John rather than their maternal grandfather. Wasted opportunity.

My girlfriend and I had more sexual relations before we moved in together. Now we rarely ever do. Moving in together does not encourage sex.

I thoroughly disagree. If given the option, kids won't have sex if it's simply too much effort. Sex is a boring, unappealing activity. It's not worth the time.
