I'm not angry, although I did likewise assume you were, when you told Steve and others to shut up amidst your outrage that he would suggest a particular fraternity was in all likelihood not a rape factory. (Which is good news, btw.)

Good that you're interested in the methodology, and yes, it was significantly flawed. Here's a closer look at the study's finer points, from the MRA-infested University of Minnesota:
72 hours ago, talk like that would have resulted in charges that you were a rape denialist and don't understand rape culture, whatever that is.
one in five women will be sexually assaulted in four years away at school.
This is not a failure of any specific institution.
If we're not, then why can't we just understand multiple men did something horrible to a young woman?
Thank you. I am not a fan of the Greek system.
"I will always believe women about what they say about their experiences."
"Which makes it sad that everyone seems to be so invested in the moral superiority of their cause"
"I will always believe women about what they say about their experiences."
Which makes it sad that everyone seems to be so invested in the moral superiority of their cause that they have to not only attempt to refute any skeptics with pure conjecture, as Anna acknowledged that she did and apologized for, but they have to do so in a manner that tries to rub the other person's face in shit,…
Here's what she actually wrote to Rob
Rolling Stone actually has a really good history of reporting. Unless I'm confusing outlets, they did a really killer expose about McCain's military career, for example. Also, several items of religious harassment at the air force officer's academy.
You know what would have been better than a tepid, "Sorry I made a mistake?" after screwing up?
What would have been BETTER is having the ethics, integrity, and professionalism needed to not be such a complete bonehead in the first place.
The SJW Progressive-Liberal-Leftist media went down a path where they became more…
Sorry, that's unfortunately not how it works. This person lied, and so the focus will be on the fact that Jezebel hitched their horse to the wrong wagon (Rolling Stone) and helped give credibility to a false accusation.
The credence isn't being given to the frat. It's being given to the extensive reporting done since the story came out by both Rolling Stone and the Washington Post that shows her story is, if not entirely false, significantly different than what actually happened.
I mean, I agree, that is likely but could you actually find the evidence you need to win the bet without resorting to not fact checking potentially compromised sources, because that's kind of the problem here...
It's super, super sad that a one-sentence apology for being completely, aggressively, abrasively wrong about something really important apparently deserves "kudos" for their exceptional behavior.
Yes, Jezebel struck the right "tone" by calling him an idiot, questioning his integrity and credentials all while managing to be completely wrong.
Hey, remember that time you talked about how you were such an impressive investigative journalist with a major from Columbia, then were proven completely wrong. In the mean time, you shit all over someone's legitimate concern. If not. It is now.
