In the article they cover that. Braking is better on the 918 (more advanced ABS), and since it’s AWD it can put the power down sooner.

I can’t find the article online but I think I remember him saying that there were 3 or 4 corners where he could get on the power much sooner in the 918.

I’m waiting for that one day where Koenigsegg discretely brings the Regera and One:1 to the track, drives 5 laps, then leaves without the driver saying anything.

He did offer an explanation for this in the article: the P1’s ABS was primitive in comparison to the 918s, so he had to brake longer in each turn. Additionally it was a mighty struggle to keep it on a straight line exiting the corners.

AWD would be the wrong move for the chassis, kinda misses the whole point of the car, not to mention the current engine packaging would make AWD just about impossible without moving most of the weight forward of the front axle.
