Most of the weight came from the NB. Safety equipment added from 1999-2005 added close to 200lbs, and a properly optioned NC could actually be lighter than the MSM...

People really like to rag on the NC for putting on weight, but it really only gained about 50lbs on the NB, whereas the NB put on close to 200lbs itself from it’s first to last year, even more if you include the MSM.

And by my brief research, it will still be the same length as the other compact pickups out there. Long for a Jeep, but not for a truck.
