Calling it “communist China” is reductionist to the point of almost being wrong, and shows a lack of knowledge concerning both China and communism; which, empirically proven, quite normal for Americans (and to a lesser extent, Europeans). On top of that, it makes you sound like Trump.

You can just use they singular and not sound like a tool. That would have resulted in “Disobey a judge at your peril, no matter what they tell your dumb ass to do.” which is unmistakably more sound as a sentence.
