Oh, i’m not writing Harris off as a candidate I would support. Not at all. I’m just happy to read an article that gets into some of awkward intersections between Harris the lefty candidate and Harris the prosecutor. I have some issues with how she acted as a DA but I know that job is thankless and will always cause

I think this is one of the best pieces of read on Harris’ candidacy so far. I struggle with what you write about a lot when thinking about Harris or reading what others think about her (especially on social media.)

I don’t mind the super-exited (borderline reverent) tone when they cover something notable that she does—whether it’s push for a green new deal or advocate for whatever policy—but this isn’t anything new. And, yeah, I’m still here reading and clicking but meh.

Yup. On the Road is a chore. I think it’s formally exciting for about 50 pages and then it drags. I’m always bummed that Kerouac gets defined by On the Road and not, say, Big Sur, or one of the other books where his disfunction and alcoholism actually cause his authorial surrogate some serious problems. Yeah but it was easy for him to write that stuff because he was never going to be affected by his own rhetoric. So checkmate, well thought out comment.

Which candidate will get us closest to the communist utopia of your dreams?

Hey look, everybody! The ghost of Mickey Rooney comments on the takeout!

Its called a Solera system. Its fancy and European.

The same people who write the Salty Waitress every week.

“but I can’t say specifically what exactly we spoke about. I just recall that it was emotional, and I wanted to be there for her.”

Yeah but if you provide that context there will be less engagement with the post. And that makes GMG a sad panda!

I hope you reveal one day that all your posts were just a long-con to promote Miller Lite.

I’m glad i scrolled down for this. Much better than i would’ve done.

Alcohol-related articles really bring out the most pedantic commenters.
