There are a lot of terrible dudes out there (people, in general, suck) but I think assuming that men are so confident is a weak reading of a larger issue with socialized gender…

I don’t think that’s limited to progressives, though. I think authoritarian tendencies show up across the political spectrum when people begin to believe that both their desired outcomes and their methods are the only way to succeed.

God damn it. Attempting to manipulate elections is bad even when a good candidate wins. I really don’t want to see anyone on tbe left lean into these tactics. Anti-democratic practices don’t magically become okay when you like the outcome unless you’re an authoritarian shitbag.

The weirdest thing for me is that I can see how you can make an argument that this is a wasteful policy that will cost more than it is worth, or that there’s a better way to integrate teaching cursive into the curriculum...but this article doesn’t do anything like that.
