A simple solution is an ambient light sensor that turns on the headlights automatically. My 2016 Kia Soul has this. My headlights are in the “Auto” position and they just turn off and on as needed. I am serious. It doesn’t look good to me. I prefer smoother animation. The art style is great. But it’s too choppy for me. Lot’s of traditional animation is smoother than this. Like all the hand drawn animation from Disney in the 1990s for example.
