Yeah the perception of time is very interesting and very weird. Lots of theories but no hard science yet for most of it because there are so many variables to consider and finding ways to quantify something that is about how it “feels” is damn hard to do.

It is absolutely NOT about experiencing time in the moment. What the hell? It’s after. You think “Today went by so fast!” That’s after the fact. You think WOW December flew by! You think the YEAR went by fast. After it’s over (or nearly over). That’s what the chart is even showing. There is no “in the moment” for

It isn’t an inherent truth. It’s never been proven.

I have always believed there are 2 reasons for this and I don’t think the suggestion in this article has much to do with it. My 2 reasons are:

1. Uniqueness - Have you ever noticed that the first time you drive somewhere, it seems to take a longer time than subsequent trips? This is because it’s unique the first time.

I understand what you are saying. My point wasn’t that doing mods to a car leads to reliability issues, but that many people who haven’t ever done it fear that it will. And regarding non-enthusiasts not caring about 0-60 times, that is largely true, but they still expect a car that looks fast to push them back in the

There are plenty of people who prefer to have their cars unmodified (especially mechanically) due to the extra cost, warranty issues, and reliability fears. A bump in horsepower and torque wouldn’t hurt obviously and I think it would increase sales even for people who aren’t really enthusiasts. If someone wants a

Yeah but man, seriously, I do not think people should have to pay 70% or 80% of the money they earn to the government. That is fucked up. Do you think just because someone is rich they shouldn’t be entitled to keep more than half the money they worked for? Who would want to be rich if it means giving almost all of

The top 10% of Americans pay a full 70% of income tax collected by the federal government. The top 1% of Americans pay 38% of income tax collected by the feds. They are taxed at an average rate of 30% of their income. So if someone is making $375K a year and they are an average 1%er they only get to actually keep

This is so misleading. You know why? Because it’s not the top 1% who have all the money. I mean, technically it is, but it’s really the top .1% or .01% who have it. If you make $250K a year you are in the top 1% in most states, $375K a year and you are in the top 1% in any state in the country. That’s not “rich”. The

Bring on the D (Doug DeMuro). Great vid. That legit race was the best.

Agreed. That tanzanite blue is beautiful...this one? No thanks.

wow. this page is freaking out for me.

Only with BMW Individual though right? it’s like $2K extra. Weird to me that you can get some of the lower performance models in red (I think they call it Austin red?) but not the M4.

At the very least it seems like he is saying “Hey slavery and internment camps couldn’t take away your dignity so the argument that not being able to get married to the person you love takes away your dignity is BS. Slavery and internment camp? No biggie.”

Surely proof of the impending Apocalypse. wahahahahahahahahahahaha

haha. that’s just priceless. Well, maybe they can move to northern Europe! Oops...oh wait.

Same here. I haven’t seen a single negative comment on FB yet. I have plenty of conservative friends....they just aren’t idiots.

Originally it was used to describe SUVs built on a unibody (car) structure rather than a body on frame (truck) structure. Old SUVs were pretty much all built off tuck platforms, so when they started making small to mid-size SUVs based on cars instead, they came up with the term crossover...SUV type capabilities on a

I’d give it a wow. I agree about the eyes, but I would have been shocked if he pulled that off. Because I was shocked that Ledger pulled it off and I always thought he was a good actor. But that role? His eyes were amazing. He was able to pull off insanity / cold calculated sociopath / gleeful freak so damn well.

So basically all Lexi (Lexuses? Lexus) are like the automotive version of that damn dress? I can accept that.
