But like a lot of things that start out innocently enough, humans destroyed the sanctity of it.

Ok...I took your "anything is possible" statement at face value. And I keep reading that a lot of people think it's real....which is sad if true.

There have been VR headsets available for decades. They have just been too expensive to make any impact at a consumer level. I wore one like 20 years ago with head tracking. Back then they were heavy / awkward and the delay in responding to turning your head was noticeable.

Did you mean to reply to someone else? Because you seem to be agreeing with me.

yeah I know about renters rights. But in this case, the owner was also a resident. And the owner is the one who invited the estranged spouse over.

The article here at least says that Thompson (the cosplayer sword wielding guy) lives in the house owned by his girlfriend. So if that's accurate, and she owns the house, and she invited her husband over, her had no authority to tell the guy to leave in the first place. It's not his house, it's hers. Now no idea

Interesting about the cooling. Regarding the spills though? Check out the 3rd pic of the table / case. (The one showing the close up of the USBs.) For a good 6" on each side of each corner, there is a 2nd lip under the one that sticks out and it almost flush with the top. Then there is a gap between that and the

I'd still be worried about spills though. even with a good liquid cooling system though, wouldn't it still be pretty hot to use as table surface if someone had high end Nvidia SLI setup and dual CPUs, etc? (The kind of hardware you would expect in something like this.) I'm asking because I genuinely am curious. I have

Yeah if you have a good liquid cooler or a shit load of fans....not exactly something that makes for a good table though. Even "quiet" fans make enough noise to be bothersome. I really do think it looks cool...but it just seems very impractical.

That was awesome. Well played. (or not...because it's an ATI)

I'm with you....not sure why everyone is arguing. I think it looks cool but it's a terrible idea. I'm not so worried about it being knocked over, but the heat issues and spilling issues are a concern. Who wants to use a freaking hot as hell surface for a desk? And it would be hot...heat rises and all that.

Not really. Lots of smartphones can output to TV already and both iOS and Android can use console quality dedicated controllers now. (iOS added support for dedicated game controllers recently.)

It's really weird because watching this it feels fake. I don't know you obviously so I don't know how you act in real life, but it has that "I'm acting" feeling to it. That's my emotional reaction to it. But I still believe you when you say that it was all real to you and you didn't know til they pulled into the

Sure. I guess I thought saying "I'm not interested at all. Stop messaging me you are making me uncomfortable. It's kind of creepy," was telling the guy what he did wasn't ok.

Re-reading what I wrote...I can see I didn't word it very well. I meant it the way I worded it in my reply.

I mostly play single player games like RPGs, and the offline campaigns of some FPSes. I had no idea that this was such a problem in gaming. Well, I'm also a 47 year old guy though, so I guess I wouldn't know about it because I wouldn't have experienced it.

I didn't say my opinion was more valid. What are you talking about? I said some people fall on one side of this argument and some on the other and I was tired of arguing. How did you translate that into "I'm more right than people who disagree with me"? I also didn't ever call her a bitch or him a poor schmuck. I

How is "don't contact me again. I'm not interested in you and you are creeping me out" cowering submissively?

I'd like to look into this more to see if his name was always censored. I mean, one has to wonder how this even got into the public space. (even censored). If this was the whole exchange, what purpose would she have had to put it out there?

Still ignoring the safety issue. Instead of being snarky and repeating what I said at the start of my post (which was an attempt to show that even though I'm extroverted, I can understand that some people are very introverted and have difficulty talking with people they don't know in person. I was attempting to show
