Only took ‘em 5 years after it was implemented in Dota 2. What will we get next, voice chat?

I’m not going to lie- I physically cannot play Destiny at its current framerate and FOV. I feel extremely nauseous every time I feel like giving it a shot. I really don’t think that Destiny is a good example of doing graphics “right”.

I know that you’re trolling here, but it’s perfectly valid to question whether a critic’s opinion is honest and fair or poorly constructed and disingenuous. Critics like Armond White have made careers out of professional trolling. I’d never say that his opinions are wrong, but it’s pretty clear that his goal to be

This is part of the reason why I refuse to believe that cheating is as widespread in games like CS:GO as some folks would like you to believe. I don’t automatically assume that anyone better than me just HAS to be cheating and I feel bad for folks who do have that reaction. The amount of cheating I’ve actually seen in

You can set the FPS lock- it’s in options under resolution. It might only provide options as high as your monitor can go- but I’m playing at 144hz just fine. :)

I haven’t played Call of Duty since MW, but does it really have more movement options than Overwatch? Almost every character has some sort of unique movement ability, whether it’s a hook, jump, charge, blink, climb, etc.

Overwatch is actually exactly what I would call a precision shooter... most of the weapons are either hitscan or use small projectiles. If you can’t aim you aren’t going to be dealing any damage.

Watching the stream I guess it’s mostly been working fine with the characters they’ve been playing like Lucio and Mercy- but I feel like once you toss verticality into the formula it has to be much harder to play. At least Pharah can get ups relatively easily- trying to rocket or sticky jump with a controller in TF2

Not to be all PCMR, but as someone who’s been playing the beta non-stop all week I have absolutely no clue how you would play this game effectively with a controller.

Thank god for gnomes being nerfed out of the meta.

Agree 100%. Unfortunately, this sort of game balance is super common in class-based shooters. Take TF2 for example- any idiot can post up and play Engineer and it will almost always take 2 players to counter the sentry (whether via an uber or a Spy as distraction). It’s easily the worst part of these games, and I

Wasn’t E3 hugely scaled back about a decade ago, after the big 3 decided that they weren’t getting their money’s worth? Yet here we are again- I expect in a few years we’ll get another “E3 Media and Business Summit”, which will then grow back to a big time trade show. It’s all cyclical!

The garden’s wall is only as good as its constructors. Look at all the crazy shit modders have done with Project M through Brawl- and that even has online support.

Actual, obvious aimbotting and wallhacking? Or just someone that seems abnormally good?

Consoles are definitely more of a no man’s land- despite charging you to play online, Microsoft and Sony devote way fewer resources to catching and preventing cheaters. Diablo doesn’t even authenticate with Battle.net IIRC.

I play competitive CS:GO a few times a week, depending on what my group of friends is currently feeling. You’ll occasionally get put up against someone who you swear is walling, but I wouldn’t call that egregious unless you can create a test case to try to trick them- that’s just someone you report and let Overwatch

How often do you honestly run into cheaters online? I’ve been playing Valve multiplayer games since before Steam was even a thing and I can count the number of truly egregious cheaters I’ve run into on one hand.

There’s a pretty strong and ever-strengthening oligopoly when it comes to game sales in the United States. Outside of Amazon, GameStop, Best Buy, and your local Kmart/Walmart/Meijer/Target big-box store there aren’t a whole lot of retailers that push games in volume. Those stores are typically pretty good about

Note that the PC version isn’t capped to any framerate- meaning you can play at a gorgeous 144 FPS if you have a monitor that supports it.

Berating himself on camera is definitely personable, but I think the idea he was getting at was that his reactions in his earlier videos were completely fraudulent. The dude was screaming and jumping around like a clown instead of reacting to jump scares like a normal player would.
