Bobby Flay has always given me the creeps. He always cooks with the same fucking ingredients too - it’s like he can’t conceptualize a dish that doesn’t include ancho chili powder and mangos.

Basically. The belief is largely that women shouldn’t be having sex for pleasure and if she gets pregnant it’s her own fault.

Not surprised. He came across as a major douche and a bro. Waiting on Bobby Flay to be the next to have allegations surface.

Shocking!

“Of course, the company now claims that Kushner had plausible deniability. He apparently didn’t sign any of the documents, and the company, which Kushner no longer runs since joining the Trump administration, says that it outsourced document preparation to “third parties.””

I’m planning to cryogenically freeze my dog until we have good enough robot technology to taxidermy him with a convincing robot inside. Much less creepy than cloning.

You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me is the only Sherman Alexie book I’ve read. Everyone’s experience is different and I saw nothing misogynistic - in fact he had a lot to say on mistreatment of women and how it affected his mother, grandmother, and sisters. I’d say keep reading, there’s definitely some useful info on

It’s not specifically about the grief of losing a mother (my sincere condolences) but THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD by Elizabeth Alexander is really powerful and beautiful and universal and really... hopeful, helpful, healing.

I held a grudge against him for saying he wanted to hit a woman he saw using a Kindle on an airplane. This was 9 or so years ago. Then I accepted I was being petty. So, I read a lot by him, and really liked his writing. I can’t say I regret reading him, but obviously that’s done.

I haven’t read it but I believe Edwidge Danticat wrote her latest book The Art of Death as a response to her mother’s passing.

So so so incredibly disappointed. I’ve been reading his latest book to as a guide to get through the loss of my mother and now I have to stop. As a black woman it’s starting to feel like we can only trust other WOC. If anyone has heard of a book about grieving your mother by a woman of color let me know!

I’d like the mainstream media to stop referring to the NRA as a “gun rights advocacy group” and start referring to it more accurately as a “gun manufacturer’s lobbyist organization”.

Much like anti gay politicians who suddenly are just fine with it when their son or daughter comes out, I imagine these women are a little less conciliatory when they find that the husband they’ve been submitting to all these years decides that the younger secretary at work submits a little better.

hahahaha, amazing.

Can you imagine how bad you’d feel the next day? I don’t think I could even make it that long, I’d be trying to escape the crime scene as soon as possible, setting up an alibi...

’If you came to see the bride, you’re out of luck!’

Why is he doing this?

I was thinking the opposite. Orange drink in tacky gold plated glasses

This is the kind of pettiness I live for
