I'm a certified advocate and forensic psychologist in training, and I'm trying to help survivors I know get TRUE advocates at UVA. This Eramo woman has been exploiting them for long enough and has no qualifications to be making the kind of decisions she is about violent offenders.

Eramo is exploiting survivors who, because of social pressure or trauma bonding (or just or culture's notion that women "shouldn't ruin poor men's whole lives!"), don't immediately feel comfortable with the idea of expulsion.

Totally true, Eramo gives survivors false information all the time, and exploits their confusion and shame. (Some call her a total sociopath.)

Many rapists are great at reading people and know confessing (often claiming they are mentally ill or have some sort of substance abuse problem, but can change!) can help them. This woman is a fake advocate who is endangering campus!
