I promise you, the current spec Formula E cars are MUCH faster around a lap than anything Tesla has ever built.

If you really want to benefit F1, ban sidepod and undertray aero. Full Stop. In fact, give them a template spec for everything from behind the front wheels to the rear tip of the gearbox. Then, when you make rules for wing downforce, it’ll really have an impact.
Valid point - but you can likely do good enough modeling on a proper workstation these days. It might just take some time. You don't need real time results.
It’s nice that F1 wants to ban wind tunnels, but I don’t really see the racing benefit if they’re just going to replace them with Crays. It takes a shitload of energy to keep a battery of supercomputers cool too.
This is typically what I look for as prima-facie evidence that a vehicle was properly maintained. Obviously a more thorough look is required, but good rubber is typically the go/no-go on what will make me go the extra step of a more thorough look in the first place.
The Conti OWS tires are expensive, they suggest a responsible adult driven car as opposed to a Nitto Boy racer. it really does seem like a decent deal.
First gen TTs like this one and the one I own run about $4k-$4.5k in my area. Those ones only have the 1.8T in them and often have more miles. This one has the bigger engine and is newer for not a whole lot more coin. I want to whine about the automatic transmission and give it a ND on that alone. However, not…
Get a Mini.
“AP was not involved at all”
I guess he did Nazi that.
Makes you wonder why he didn’t go full-tilt boogie with badging...
It also has a clock to tell you when the toaster strudels are done
While an entertaining read, the imagery here would have benefitted from the food in question being pork schnitzel, and the beverage a nice Marzen, given this vehicle’s country of origin. However, there are no mass market schnitzel joints, so I see how you ended up where you did.

This needs to be codified into Jalopdom as the Spaghetti Principle. Fancy restaurant spaghetti reaches a point where paying more for better ingredients provides no additional value to the consumer. Can you really tell the difference between imported bronze-cut spaghetti and imported spaghetti that was hand cut with a…
Carrabba’s, spaghetti, chardonnay, hand shaker, divorce attorney, and Mecedes station wagon???
What about Taco Bell? Fancy places like Carrabba’s are for things like anniversaries!
Dang that’s a good looking brown too. Thanks for the visual reference.
I think you nailed the ask. $10K is much closer to reality.
I’m not opposed to eating at a place like Carrabba’s. If it’s what you have around you, the food is good, but not great. You’ll pay $13.99 for a well executed pasta dish, and a $7 glass of wine.
In case anyone was wondering what Bornite Metallic looked on the entire car. It was brown.
