I think “emboldening” of criminals due to societal sentiment is often overlooked. Here in Portland, Maine there were several weeks of public homeless support demonstrations. The cohort of “lifestyle homeless” and drug addicts became emboldened, feeling like everyone was on their side, crime and drug use exploded.

When there is a power vacuum, either perceived or legitimate, criminals are emboldened. The positive correlation of public animus towards police and higher crime rates is not surprising.

Regarding the SEC investigation of Nikola- I’d be very surprised if that results in anything. I’m a corporate securities attorney and have dealt with the SEC quite a bit. For the most part, I am always amazed at how accommodating the SEC staff is to any issuer. And I’ve represented some fairly questionable foreign

3rd Gear: The violent crime rate in Minneapolis has exploded since the George Floyd demonstrations. For example, homicides through the first 8 months of the year have already exceeded last year’s total.

Most people don’t want the Tesla experience but if they do they can have it at any dealership. “Hi, I want that car over there and will pay sticker price, here’s my down-payment, I’ll be back in two months to pick it up.”

How much time do you have? Right now we have an ad for a Bolt lease. $1995 down 88 bucks a month. It bold it says must have a GM lease or competitor lease and be a cost co member. The ad is not negotiable unless you want to give on the payment or down payment.

It is extremely rare that a customer walks in and says “I want a 2021 Tahoe Z71 in white, here is my 1/3 down and my pre-appoval check for the balance. Here is my email with your pricing”

I’m always stunned by those who think direct sales would be any better than the status quo.

On the second question: I would never bring cash with me for a private sale.
