One of my biggest things when road-tripping was simple: always carry cash. There have been countless times where I’ve used a toll road and needed it (pre-ezpass), and other times where I was buying gas or anything at a convenience store, and their CC machine was busted.

I don’t disagree with a single word you said. I totally get the value of unions in SOME cases, but not overall. And most certainly not the UAW as it currently exists. Auto workers DO need a union (any factory-type, assembly line, move as many units as possible type company/position DOES), but the UAW has failed them…
