Understand the POV. I was and am an REM fanatic, especially through Automatic, and loved those earlier albums. That said, Automatic is my favorite of theirs. I don’t find it overly polished, more like perfectly polished, and I find the overall mournful, elegiac tone just hits a sweet spot. The most high-energy song on

Asking someone, “Do you want to watch Max tonight?” sounds like you’re asking them to take your dog for the evening.

Yeah almost nobody remembers that it’s nickname is ‘Skinemax’ and it’s most well known for soft core porn.  Definitely better to use that name than generic bullshit that nobody knows about like ‘HGYO’ or whatever those letters are...’MGM’?  See, I can’t even remember them.

I ended up in urgent care over the weekend with something called epididymitis.   That led me to mostly yelling at my balls but I am pretty sure my dick had something to do with it as well.

“Shouldn’t we all uhh, maybe, have some of those?” - Mandalorians

I think Dani and Jamie were set up as “Aces” or really good, but Zava is more like a Messi level type player.

He was more of an up and coming star. Came in the summer transfer window, immediately got injured. and nobody had really seen him play. He’s an ace, for sure, but while Jamie and Dani are aces, Zava was a wild card.

You’re probably right.

  You're mistaking outrage for contempt.

I think the presidential campaign is about Connor’s need for attention and respect, rather than love. He isn’t seeking the love of the general public, or even 1% of the Republican primary electorate. Rather, by achieving 1% or more in actual votes, he can tell himself he’s a legitimate player in the political sphere

i guess it’s just the difference between taking him at face value and not. i don’t think he’s being honest with himself, and i don’t think he thinks of himself as a nobody. i think he thinks he’s smarter than everyone else, just like the rest of them all do.

i think it’s interesting seeing so many people taking connor’s ‘i don’t need love, you guys do’ monologue at face value.

I have no idea why this article is so snarky about it, Mazda IS premium. Better looks, better handling, and better materials than any of their mainstream competitors, but not remotely a luxury manufacturer. As others have pointed out, Buick and Acura are direct competitors, except that Mazda does it better, or at

I love that he had the costume ready, presumably in a giant bag that said “OPEN IN CASE OF ROCKET LAUNCH”

I love that that also ends with Betty’s secretly-not-brainwashed-but-actually-undercover Mom (who I guess secretely-undercoverly gave away her college fund to a cult) shooting him in the head. This show scoffs at the very notion of rails.

And they still haven’t figured out who killed the chauffeur.

As much as I love the Stripes’ albums, seeing them live was the real thing. On the recordings, Meg’s style matches what Jack was doing. They were shooting for vibe, not perfection. Jack’s playing is just as messy on guitar as her was on drums — it’s just that people are more forgiving of that kind of blurry style for

Its very funny to see so many people referring to Joel’s “choice” and references to the trolley problem when both the game and the show make it 100% clear there is NO choice for Joel whatsoever. He’d never allow Ellie to be killed, not in a trillion universes. The last episode isn’t a moral dilemma it’s about the

Right?! It’s not like we don’t have three years worth of recent fucking history to draw on here to enlighten us about how humanity would act. I actually thought that was one of unspoken but really resonant parts of the episode.

It’s not like we have no idea how humanity would react to a vaccine showing up, or what people would do to preserve what power they have.
