Game developers getting 18% more of your money is a huge benefit to the customer: The game developer can invest more in the games you love, and has less incentive to depend on trashy DLC models.

I actually like the library interface... Simple, compact, and not filled with “HEY YOU SHOULD TRY THIS!!!!1 *throws icons everywhere*” bullcrap.
You know what else someone should be able to do in a free society?
Exactly! It’s very easy to say, “This so-called ‘game’ is reprehensible on its face and has no business even being talked about. We won’t host it, and it should never have been a question.”
I actually think it is probably better not to come out with some public code of conduct for getting the boot from Steam, because then trolling devs will just try and make games that come in *just* below that level of bad behavior and then, either (1) Valve has to leave the game up, per its own written policy; or (2)…
I know they’re worried about legal ramifications, but at some point I think Valve just needs to come out and say:
YT is required to abide by the DMCA process. Get mad at the people filing false requests and at the government who made laws that make this process necessary. YT is a victim here just like the streamers.
Youtube is really bad about this and really doesn’t care about it’s content creators until they have 500K+ subs.
I think if a company/person files a false DMCA takedown notice, they should have to pay that streamer’s lost income once it’s proven to be wrong. Maybe then they’d be a little more cautious.
I’m surprised by the whole fact that the blaster is made by Hyperkin, and it DOESN’T work with their consoles. That seems slightly odd. Though when you think about how they go about in emulating the NES/Famicom/etc on their consoles, it starts to make sense.
Okay. I have two Raspberry Pis. One is in a box, and the other is taped to the top of one of my monitors. Neither is hooked up because they’re fairly useless and prone to corrupting my SD cards.
You can already play Duck Hunt on contemporary flat-panel TVs using the original light gun, a flash cart, and the lcdmod ROMs.
Resident Evil: Dead Aim on PS2 was/is a wonderful lightgun game.
The move works quite well as a light gun,
I’m more a Sega House of the Dead/Virtua Cop guy, myself.
The modern version of Duck Hunt was on the Wii U, which means that it was rejiggered to use the Wii Remote rather than the NES Zapper’s light sensor—which in turn means that some compromises had to be made.
Whaaaaaaat? Where were you, like, 28 years ago when I needed you and your valuable information?
Come back to me when they make something like this for the dreamcast so I can play House of the Dead 2 and Confidential Mission.
This would be legit exciting if it was a Playstation light gun. Time Crisis, Point Blank, Vampire Night, Ninja Assault... a PS4 light gun that could bring back those games would be an instant purchase.
Maybe GoG will raise the ante then. That would be a good thing too.
