Bats are wonderful. They eat mosquitoes. I’d like to encourage them to live around my house.

Okay, thanks. I appreciate your kind comment. However, I’m half Jewish, and initially wondered whether your meme about all the Christmas songs written by Jews was meant to be anti-Semitic (it was Grumpy Cat that confused me), so I suspect we’re coming from the same point of view. In the late 1800s and early 1900s,…
A fun game to play, if you happen to have an atlas of Great Britain handy, is to go through it and try to find the funniest town name. There are a great many improbable town names in Great Britain. I usually ignore the ones that I can’t pronounce, like anything in Welsh or Gaelic, but that doesn’t limit the scope at…

How would I even know that? Why wouldn’t I know that? I know history in general. Many of the early film makers were Jewish. People tend to employ their friends or people they like, so they employed their friends to write songs. Irving Berlin, to give just one example, was Jewish. But not all film makers or script…
In Denver (at least in the mid-90s) people didn’t necessarily leave their washers and dryers in their houses when they sold them. Confused the heck out of me.
Thank you for letting us know. I will stay out of your way.
Is Shakira nuts? If a wild boar takes something, it now belongs to the wild boar. Those things can kill you, and are not in the least bit domesticated or afraid of people. They’re in the same class as grizzly bears, as far as I’m concerned — they’ll kill you just because they’re having a bad day, so you stay out of…
Hey! Twins! I also don’t watch TV news. Some days I get stuck on a BBC news story or two as I’m going to something I’ve DVRed, but TV news is a morass of carefully picked and polished stories dumbed down to appeal to the lowest level of understanding, and I like a little more detail than X=good, Y=bad.
Thanks
Oh, I get it. Probably because a lot of them came from movies, and Back In The Day (1920s - 40s), a lot of movie songwriters were Jewish. Of course, P. G. Wodehouse wrote many songs and plays in Hollywood too, so it wasn’t a Jewish monopoly. But I don’t think he wrote Christmas stuff.
What the hell is THAT statue? The Pediatrician’s Nightmare?
A guy with a record of assaulting women and legal problems? Dan Snyder’s probably panting to get him. Look for him to start for the WFT in the first game next season and play at most 2 downs for the entire season while being paid full salary.
I can’t tell if you’re joking when you call Youngkin a reasonable moderate. I hope you’re joking when you call Youngkin a reasonable moderate. I live in Virginia (for my sins) and I think Youngkin would be a nightmare.
Vaccinated and boostered because I have asthma... and I still wear a mask, because my mask protects other people just in case I have covid without symptoms.
That’s terrifying. Think about the reading comprehension of most people. Now mix in their biases and prejudices and the crap they get from tabloids.
Fox pretends to be real news, and people watch it. We have no excuse for that.
You are the person for whom those songs are written. If there was some way for you to hear them and me not to (there is, I just don’t go to stores. Why stores insist on playing songs is another question. I can’t avoid grocery stores if I want to choose my own produce) that would be a perfect situation in a perfect…
Wait... are you saying the songs are Jewish? I’m confused.
It’s usually both?
