Pet stores buy their puppies from breeders and puppy mills, so there is no difference. I work at a shelter, and this type of promotion makes me insane. We have so many wonderful dogs that need homes - for a celebrity to openly promote breeding is irresponsible.

Whatever. I'm still pissed that the golden retriever won over the pit bull. And I have one of each!

@intangiblemango: I know - I just hate seeing something like that lead a post. If it bothered me, I know it probably bothered someone else. Just part of recovery...the not so fun part.

Hey ladies, is there any way to post a "trigger alert" before that Lisa Rinna post? That freaked me out :(

I saw Holly last year in Peep Show and thought she looked AMAZING. Fuck those producers. She had some jiggle and curves and it totally worked.

I had no idea this was such a controversial topic. I lived in Eastern Europe for a year, and it was just too cold to shower every day. I didn't feel any dirtier than normal, so I continued the habit when I moved back to the US. I shower maybe every other day, rarely more and sometimes less. My husband certainly

@emilouharris: I just like her more and more. She seems smart and unconcerned with the fame BS.

@LoLoAGoGo: Yep, I'm a straight woman and I would totally make out with her.

@bookling: Same with Bebe Neuwirth! They both look amazing and elegant.

@NewsBunny: What a wonderful post! I wish more women remembered that their grooms don't give a shit about the whole wedding craziness. A good man loves YOU, not your size.

@anna.molly: This graduation outfit was the final straw for me. Yes, yes, you're a performer and you have an image. But even if your sister okayed the outfit, the rest of the students deserved some respect for their achievements. Instead, she drew all the focus. Selfish and childish.

I used to be conflicted about this. I'm not a fancy jewelry type of girl, but my husband surprised me with a good-sized diamond. And call me superficial or a bad feminist, but I think it's a beautiful ring. I didn't expect it or feel entitled to it, and I certainly didn't drop hints. I sometimes think it's funny

There's a wonderful memoir by Tania Albie called Maiden Voyage, about her teenage sail around the world. Her perspective on youth/hubris/freedom is interesting.

@elephantom: Holy fuck, that's even better than I was thinking! Something with gorgeous font, definitely...

I kind of want a tattoo reading "pleasure loving harlot".

@dismantledwoman: Um, we prefer the term "pleasure loving harlots". Seriously. Have some respect for our whoring ways.

What a wonderful post! I think this should be mandatory reading for every teenage girl out there. I'm pretty comfortable in a swimsuit now, having reached the age of "oh, fuck it", but I hate that I spent so many of my younger summers obsessing. I looked great! And I was young! And instead of enjoying my healthy

@Interrobanging: It's the blanket statement that pisses me off. It's a slap in the face to those of us who find other things to be great accomplishments. Just because I don't have kids doesn't make me less of a woman.

@onestrawplz: Seriously. They've all aged beautifully, but Kristin Davis looks like she's made a deal with the devil. She's the female Rob Lowe.

@MrsNorthman: Yeah, she managed to pull it off without looking costume-y. Maybe it's the heavy black eye makeup? That gives it a touch of rock-and-roll.
