Wrong Wheel Drive (41%)

God damnit portrait video. I watched the first three seconds, saw it was in portrait and immediately closed it. Anyone that uses portrait video for any context ever needs to stop.

Well turning and throttling is not really that easy if you arent used to it. Even with my Miata getting barely 100hp to the wheels, I can certainly end up in some tank slapping scenarios due to the LSD. But since I am used to it during autocross, it doesnt surprise me when a wet road throws me around. I imagine with

I feel like these are irrelevant though. The most telling signs of a cop are the behavior of the vehicle. They are either sitting off to the side of the road in a sketchy looking cop position or they are driving like an aggressive asshole down the road. So regardless of lights or decals or even a giant blinking sign

It is really not that unsafe to swap springs at home. Sure those spring compressor tools are aptly named “death sticks” but they certainly work if you use them properly. I had no issues or scares while swapping coilovers into my Miata since I did everything slowly and precisely.

Well it’s a Turo Rental. My last rental through them had like 150k miles on it. Sure it leaked oil and had bald tires, but it was still plenty driveable and most importantly fun.

Staircar would by far be the best.

That’s like a perfect time too! I am going to be up at Bear Mountain on a cruise already that morning so this would be an excellent way to end the day. Any idea how many races/laps we should get?

I cannot sleep on planes ever. I generally dont get bored though since I just bring enough movies, tv shows, and books to keep me occupied. It is no different than just having a lazy day at home. Only difference is I don’t have reddit and Oppo to fill in time but as long as I come prepared, there is plenty to do.

Downloading Amazon Prime stuff is the best for flights! I fly out to California from NJ every other month or so. That flight is easy when I just watch a movie and a couple TV shows in my queue. By far the most useful feature vs Netflix and Hulu.

Yeah, its just hard for me to grasp that concept. I mean I guess I have never had to commute via transit before, so I don’t know what it’s like to deal with delays constantly. The way things are handled makes me feel like the issues are just ignored until people die though. Then there is probably some statistic of

I think lowered likelihood of dying is a clear and direct benefit. Sure you can say it is a low risk event but the consequences are so high and the technology itself is well defined and available. They should have taken the opportunity given by Sandy shutting down basically the whole system to install the upgrades. If

Went to Stevens also I imagine? Trains are expensive, that much makes sense to me. Fascinating to me though that upgrading the signal systems is not a higher priority. But I guess they arent exactly swimming in money, even with the ridiculously high ticket costs.

Isn’t that something cops explicitly look for, quickly hiding shit? I feel like that could be something even worse to get caught doing. I mean, unless you have deeply tinted windows but that is probably the main reason that is outlawed in a lot of places.

Lack of infrastructure maintenance in general is what scares me the most out of any problem existing in the US. You basically have to ignore that most bridges were built with an expected lifetime that ended 20 or 30 years ago. If only the tolls charged at bridges actually went towards said bridge instead of padding

That’s scary! I wonder if the train conductors have a competition for who can get closest to the wall. Like some sort of terrible game they play while taking bets on it and such. I dont understand why trains are not more automated. Embedded sensors in the track to just stop the train automatically in a timely fashion

Yup, I have seen that Coors Light sign and the “Walk your bicycle” sign so many times. Apparently the whole city has shut down basically. Emergency vehicles only allowed on the street. What a disaster!

I wonder if that legitimately is a better solution. I mean sure you will probably still get arrested in West Virginia or NC when you stop there but I wonder if they can “deport” you back to Virginia and charge you there anyways.

This. I dont use a radar detector primarliy because if I do get pulled over, the cop is guaranteed to write me a ticket because “why would you have one of those unless you plan on speeding”. I tend to just keep things to a reasonable 10 over and stick to the right lane.

Crazy to see the station like that! I lived in Hoboken for 5 years and took the train and PATH from there often. I always kinda wondered what would happen if a train didnt stop since there is very little room between the end of the track and the main area of the station. This, just like the flooding there during Sandy

That looks awesomely fun. I am planning a trip across the US next year and have considered taking “The Great Northern Route” from somwhere in Ontario all the way to Washington. One of the areas that this goes through is the UP in Michigan. What are some “must drive” roads or things to see there? I hope to spend a
