The sonic definitely seems quite a bit bigger than the Aveo. I was just talking about size differences on the US models. The Aveo and Spark are pretty equivalent with the Sonic being larger than the two. I thought the Spark was just a next generation Aveo?

Yeah the Aveo became the Spark. The Sonic is the one level between the spark and cruze (in terms of size and price). A Spark is pretty bad but everything it does poorly is at least an improvement on the previous Aveo. The Aveo is definitely punch worthy!

Yeah I do not think it really is about warmth. It will be cold no matter what before the car warms up. And the Miata heater certainly gets warm enough once the engine gets hot. But I could see why it would be nice to have, especially in the winter. The soft top is noisy on the highway, offers less visibility, and a

Oh I certainly agree that top down in the snow and cold is quite a good experience. But if I had the option, I would definitely love to have a top on for those miserable rainy and cold days in the winter where I am just shuttling to work and back. But a major point would be able to easily remove it and go out the next

Idk, as much as I think a hardtop is a waste, I really am liking the idea of it. A Miata just looks so good with a hard top on it. What area of the country do you live in? Here in the Northeast, a hard top would definitely be nice for the winter.

I really want to put that front bumper on my NB. The mazdaspeed Miatas just look mean in person, I could certainly add those parts to my regular '01 without too much trouble.

That Jag always looks very close to an NB Miata but just bigger

I think that both are terrible but driving in traffic with a manual is slightly BETTER rather than worse. I think the difference in neglible (both suck in that scenario) but at least with the manual I am not bored. I would much rather be focused, it makes the time go by faster. When sitting in traffic in an automatic,

an aircraft most certainly does not need a fuselage! All it fundamentally needs is a wing to provide lift.

They need to do the opposite of the lux edition. How about a stripper model that has all the panels removed and the interior stripped. Could save weight and cost! Not like I would buy it new anyways though lol.

It is definitely different in the first year of ownership vs year-to-year after that. I have spent probably about $2k in maintenance on my Miata this year but I have driven 17,000 miles and most of those repairs were something that could have been put off. I do not anticipate spending nearly that much next year. To me

I mean, I know the first time I had pumped gas I was either 18 or 19. Somewhere in PA out in the middle of nowhere. I had never tried pumping gas before but I was able to figure it out pretty easily just based on remembering seeing what gas attendants did in NJ.

I was really confused when I went to Canada and I could just pump the gas before paying. It was so foreign to me that it felt like it was illegal or something. My girlfriend was equally confused. More annoying though was that none of the pumps had pay-with-card on the pump. Going inside is annoying and seems silly to

The gas attendant on the Garden State Parkway once stole my gas cap. He removed the cap, placed it on the pump, filled my tank, closed the lid and off I drove. I only found out when I got home that there was no longer a cap! Guess that doesn’t set off the check engine light in a '99 Civic. Was definitely the most

But you can do the whole rest thing and collect your thoughts much better without the attendant there. Unless you go to Costco, there is never a line so you aren’t really in a rush. You can pull up, do your thing, get out to pump gas, and then be on your way. Gas stations usually have a roof so the whole weather

I mean, I know plenty of people that have never driven out of NJ and therefore have never pumped their own gas. But I would think most of them are intelligent enough to figure it out on their own.

That is a whole nother level of shitty things about gas stations. I don’t understand how that ever was legal that a cash discount is not the same thing as a credit card a fee. I believe the law has actually been changed recently though, making that legal.

This is such a major annoyance to me. If it were not for the ludicrously cheap gas that we have, I would hate getting gas in NJ so so much. I am so used to this concept though that getting gas elsewhere is such a treat. I am always surprised at how much faster the process is without all the damn waiting.

My Miata has a clicking-off-too-early problem. Something that could be corrected but would be prohibitively expensive to fix. However, since I am in NJ this often presents a problem since I have to either ask the attendant to turn it back on or just leave with 3/4 tank. Every time I go out of state, I end up with a

lol thanks to the USD-CAD conversion, premium at around 120/L (CAD) ended up still being much less than $3 per gallon when I visited over labor day. It was great!
