I feel so sketched out doing that though. Like the cops are just going to show up and give me all kinds of shit for it. I wish it was just totally legal to go hoon around a parking lot and if anything bad happens, I am on my own and responsible for the consequences.

Then you just become a snow plow. Yeah I don’t ever have to drive in more than a couple of inches in NJ (anything more and the state shuts down until they plow it). The best though is right after a fairly significant storm before they plow and just going slow on the local streets with nobody around. I really wish I

I feel like RWD with snows is the perfect balance between safety and fun. It is nice and safe if you keep off the gas and then a ton of fun when you enter DORIFTO MODE!!! Sure RWD on summers would be more fun in a WE ARE GOING TO DIE kind of way, but it certainly would be about as safe as playing Russian roulette.

For me, it usually is anytime I have driven towards NYC on the Pulaski Skyway (currently closed in that direction) while listening to the soundtrack from Tron Legacy. Maybe not so much video-game feeling but it always reminds me of that movie which was very video-gamey anyways. This is only late at night when there is

The time that I had a rental Camry.

I think its hilarious the reactions I get when I say that I love RWD in the snow. And this is usually from people with FWD or AWD-but-really-FWD and all season tires. I think those are way scarier to drive in those conditions, you have nearly no control if you lose traction. At least with RWD I can do something about

Yeah I wonder how you would have trouble with understeer when you can just give it gas to quickly eliminate that problem.

Did Mazda ever have their own non-Ford-Ranger pickup truck?

well it seemed to do rather well in the small overlap. That is the test a bunch of cars failed miserably. Side impact didn’t look too good though!

Yeah, I don’t plan on tracking my Miata solely because I don’t want to install a roll bar. Maybe eventually if I stop daily driving the car but for now Auto-x is the life for me!

I don’t really understand the share feature. Can't you just share your account with unlimited other people by giving out your username and password. Obviously instant video could not be used concurrently though.

Actually this thing is way more interesting that I had thought on first glance. I thought he just took a motorcycle, removed the back end, and replaced with the rear half of a focus. But he actually has the Focus motor driving the thing and using the FWD drivetrain now as RWD. The Focus gauge cluster is a nice touch

Based on EPA numbers, pretty much all generations of Miata don’t do so well for the amount of power output. But in the real world, they do pretty well thanks solely to the low weight. My 2001 (NB2) regularly gets around 29 mpg with mixed driving. Sure I have hit around 15 mpg while autocrossing all weekend but I have

Just looking at the thing, I would definitely wear a helmet regardless of it being required. There is no way I would daily drive it anyways so every time I drive it, it would definitely be for extreme fun. I think classifying this thing as a motorcycle just makes way more sense.

funny since the air fresheners are usually trees anyways

You are crazy if you think leaking coolant is a good smell. That is the smell of my nightmares. Smelling that and seeing the temp gauge peg the H are like my greatest fears. You just know something is gonna blow if you are smelling coolant lol.

There was a Prius at the Autocross I went to yesterday. I now believe the Prius is Jalop!

Definitely tire smoke! The main reason I enjoy going to a formula drift event is the ridiculous amount of tire smoke that fills the area. Also, love the wafting tire smoke after someone spins out on an auto-x course. I could just go for that all the time without having to destroy my rear tires.

Im wondering if carmakers actually do this intentionally. Create a unique smell and use it on all of their vehicles. I have also found that Mercedes cars have a unique smell. Not sure what it is but it is unique and only reminds me of Mercedes.

I feel like that is a really poor expectation of a car. Just because it is not an econo-box like a Camry, doesn’t mean it has to be unreliable and finicky. A good car is meant to be driven, not be stared at in the garage because you are worried it is going to break. If the car is properly engineered, there is no
