Technically, they're correct in that they're not 'here to represent that experience', but what they are doing is mocking that experience, which makes it even worse.

I was trying not to judge these two guys by their cover, and then

That's pretty much how I felt about it. I also don't hate Chelsea too much (just never found her too entertaining, though the new stuff she's doing seems much more interesting). But man, sometimes Marc's attitude and sensitivities get in his own way.

Anyone listen to WTF with Jen Kirkman/Chelsea Handler? I love Jen Kirkman so I put it on today. You know how Marc sometimes gets flirty in an off-putting way? He was like that in a pretty grating way with Chelsea Handler. He prefaced the interview by saying that it was a contentious one and he blamed it on Chelsea's

Man, that is a perfect way to put it. I feel the same way about HH.

My friends and I discovered the acapella version on a road trip recently. It was awesome as well.

I would prefer Late Night with Donald Trump to Chelsea Handler hosting, though. It would get him off the streets at least.

I've been meaning to give his podcast a shot. Any specific episodes that stand out?

If you listen to the recent Comedy Bang Bang episode with Gilbert on it, Gilbert actually does an impression of Alan Thicke. Gilbert was on Thicke of the Night and mocked the show and the theme song. It was great.

I haven't listened to it and don't plan to because I'm not a fan of either of them, but apparently on Bert Kreischer's podcast this past week, Doug was the guest and they got into a fight about Bert bringing like 100 hamburgers to a recording of DLM. Like I said, I haven't listened to it, but it's at the link below if

It's an act. The real Tom Scharpling is one of the nicest guys around. Listen to his WTF episode.

I loved Benched. Great cast with Eliza Coupe, Jay Harrington, Maria Bamford, Oscar Nunez, Fred Melamed, and Jack McGee, too.

Benched was a great little comedy, but then they offed it after only one season.

I don't believe it, personally. He might not drink now, but he definitely used to. I think there's an appearance on the Tom Green Show where him and Tom do shots together.

Yes, you did! I'm assuming that you got the reissue since it came out in 2012, however, you can check over at discogs. Any version of it is easily over $125 these days. If yours is the blue reissue, it's roughly $250 now.

Same here. I've been following news of their second album for like 12 years. I remember getting excited in like 2006 because they said a new album was 'imminent'. Same in 2011.

Not only that, but their original LP had to be altered when it was reissued on vinyl a few years back. Which means if you want to own the original vinyl, you have to get an original pressing, which is like $200 these days. I'm a big record collector and this is one of my favorite albums ever, so it suuccckkks.

I think ObliqueStrategy (excellent username, btw) is referring to the pre-emptive suing that Thicke/Pharrell did. From wiki:

Because he's Chuck Klosterman and he fucking sucks.

Also, Bowie did a shit-ton of drugs, which undermines Gene's point.
