They definitely were. They were twisted off at both ends and didn't have a wick.

God, I hate it when people do this.

Awesome, I came here to start a Masterchef thread and here it is!

Totally agree on the cinematic aspects. He's definitely growing. Even the little things were great, like at the beginning of the 'Elevator' EP, where he's standing there thinking and then it's revealed that Amia is standing behind him in the distance.

But what I'm saying is that there isn't much of a character dissonance. It was set up well. Louie has set himself up as a complex character, capable of acting on impulses (remember, he bought a motorcycle on a whim and wanted to buy that huge house and also went home with Yvonne Stahovski and the 'show you my vagina'

Oh, wow, yes. I hadn't even thought about him finding both Amia and Pamela sleeping.

Wow, you know what? You're completely right. I was mixing it up with math! haha, I can't believe I was doing that.

Take into account Louie's thought process when Pamela responded to his 'why are you so mean to me?' question with 'why do you like it?'. And then toss in the high after his very relevant stand-up bit, and couple it with his attempting on some level to recreate the scene with Amia (which was somewhat forceful as well,

In his mind, he was trying to recreate the scene with Amia. With Amia, it had to be then and now and he got what he wanted. He tried the same thing with Pamela, and in the process dehumanized both women into some amalgam of simply something to have and removing both of their individualities, making them just some

What a dichotomy b/t that (and his tenderness with Amia) and the Pamela thing.

Yeah, furthering the discomfort was his jubilation and fist-pump afterwards, as though he'd done something good. Pamela's reaction was clearly not a good one, and a common one of someone in a victim state, ie freeze up and let them do what they want so you can get the hell out of there.

That's interesting. I've always seen it [(this)], and I assumed it was because '(' is the default, go-to parenthesis when you need one, and brackets build upon the original.

I'm no expert, but if I were going to nest parentheticals, I'd do it like this: [(first parenthetical) (second parenthetical)].

Hell yes, I think I even recognize your username from the comments last season.

Yep. I should have put 'Chicago style' in quotes.

    Deee-cent!

Better not put Tebow on. . .the media will crucify him!

Speaking of the DC5, this video for 'Bits & Pieces' is one of the funniest videos I've ever seen. It looks like Dave Clark is playing drums made out of rubber and the rest of the band is barely making an attempt to look like they're playing:

    Cops eat milanos?

That was hilarious. For anyone interested, his name is Youppi! and he used to be the Expos mascot before they moved and the Canadiens adopted him. He's in the Baseball Hall of Fame (kind of)!
