I think you have to remember that he's an Inanimate Fuckin' Object.

It might actually be appropriate here because Todd is speaking for all of the writers on this site, but I'm totally with you. The 'royal we' is a pet peeve of mine and it makes my skin crawl. Especially when it's used to espouse an opinion. Have dignity, own your opinion. I used to read Yahoo's NBA Blog (I know, I

Thank you for responding to this guy. I was going to, but you said everything I would've but better. Kudos! No idea why this guy even watches the show when he doesn't seem to understand basic things about it.

-You're ignoring that he doesn't really hang out with anyone, and you're also ignoring Godfrey and Chris Rock as well as other black comics that appear on the show. Louie's only friends are comedians, please take note of this.

Do you even watch this show? Louie doesn't hang out with black people? Godfrey had half an episode with Louie, William Stephenson is regularly seen playing poker with Louie, and he hangs out with Chris Rock. Couple this with the fact that Louie doesn't really hang out with anyone of any race, and I'd say it's a pretty

I think you're reading way too much into Louie begging her to stay. imo, he was clearly just asking for her to stay a little while longer, not move to the US permanently. I don't know why or how he's supposed to stop and consider all of the stuff in your 2nd paragraph when his begging was a spur-of-the-moment, flight

Thiiiiis. What makes it even more obvious is that Jane literally explained to Louie how embarrassed the teacher was.

The reviews that already exist, by Joshua Alston, are already pretty great.

It was pretty jarring to see him in the bang-bang episode. I haven't seen him since the earlier episodes when he was thin, but I knew that he'd worked hard to get down to that weight. Surprising to see him put on ~70 pounds in such a short time. I do like his character better now than the previous, super-neurotic and

You're right; Jane spoke Slovenian in an earlier episode. I don't recall what she said to Amia (I know it was the English equivalent of 'hello'), but even if it was Slovenian, it's not out of the realm for Amia to know what Jane said, as Hungary and Slovenia share a border and Jane used a simple greeting.

I think he suffers a little too much from trying to bend things in the show to fit whatever theme or idea he has for the show/episode. He makes some good points sometimes, but he also will make weird points or misinterpret what has happened or (every once in a while) actually make up plot points to fit his overarching

    Audrey Hepburn was as well.

A nod to the 'disregarding continuity' thing was when Jane's age changed in the two episodes. When Louie was telling Janet about the school thing, he said Jane was ten. Later on, when he was talking to Amia and her Aunt, he said his kids were 8 and 13.

'hire a damned copy editor or offload some writing and do it yourself.'

Same exact scene that did it for me, too. I was lukewarm, but once that happened, complete with 2001 score, I was sold.

This was the most measured response I could muster.

    Fuck Dave Eggers.

    And that's really saying something!

In re The Oscars, and to a larger extent how these guys prepare: Brad said he uses flash cards? That sounded pretty old school to me. I'll never be on Jeopardy, but I feel like if you really want to prepare, use the internet. Has anyone here ever used Sporcle? It's amazing, especially to study geography, sports,

Agreed on both points. I'm a huge Ken fan, but now I want Roger to win. Such a great attitude.
