Yep, and it works too! The ratio is even higher on the Euro-spec gas engines at over 14:1, since the octane levels are higher.
They aren’t measured on the same scale:

You can’t blow a skyactiv engine. Well you can by putting a blower on it, but that will blow the engine - not make more horsepower ;-) The compression ratio on the NA Skyactiv engine is too high to turbo charge. It uses a 13:1 ratio for 87 octane gas.
Mazda has had Skyactiv engines since 2011. Can you please point to ANY instances of dirty intake valves causing issues with power or performance in these engines? I’m not saying carbon buildup doesn’t happen - just that it is an issue that is blown WAY out of proportion. Yes, it was a serious issue in VW and BMW…
As much as I would like to think differently, if the positions were reversed - a Republican in the White House and Dems in charge of the Senate - I don’t honestly think that they would do anything differently. I want to think that they would, but I am not convinced that they would.
I requested higher resolution photos and they just replied:
Wow, gonna have to disagree there. I had a friend of mine that had a regular soft top GXP, and that was a great looking car, especially the hydroformed back deck. This on the other hand is really not a looker.
That kind of looks like a melted Audi TT. But yes, I agree it is better looking than any of the GT-R production cars, although the grill area could be better.
Yeah, I have one kid, plus myself and the wife too. And there is no way in hell we could manage to go on any sort of a multi-day road trip. We don’t have a van yet, but it is definitely on the radar. I’d love to have one now, because they are useful for all sorts of things, but we don’t yet need one. That will be…
So uh, do you ever drive anywhere? Because if you are bringing stuff for a kid, as well as your own crap, there is no room in most cars. Not to mention that a low set sedan is a royal pain in the ass to get a kid in and and out of a car seat in. Plus the rear facing seats make it impossible to put the front seats back…
Fort Bragg, NC is the worst I’ve ever seen this way - granted that was 20 years ago.
I’m reminded of this scene from Chris Elliot’s “Get a Life” where he tries to buy an NSX:
Ungrateful HO
The difference is that someone with epilepsy doesn’t say mean, cutting, vicious things. Why in the hell should someone feel obligated to put up with someone else’s shit if they are indeed acting like a shithead? Regardless of the reason, be it mental, or be it them being an asshole. She has a responsibility to herself…
In fairness, it does get down in the teens at night most years here. For 2 or 3 days maybe. We have cold days too, but never days that it stays below freezing. No one here has more than one set of tires unless they have track tires.
