I rode motorcycles for close to 20 years and finally sold off my ‘07 FJR, at no point did I ever need 145hp in a 600lb package but it was damn fun. Even as a fully faired, bagged touring bike there was nothing on the road aside from a full race rep liter bike faster than me.

You’ve obviously never used FCA’s flaming pile of crap that is their base model stereo. That alone will make you spend ANY amount to get to a higher trim level. I am not joking when I say that pairing a phone to the bluetooth on my Wife’s ‘13 JKU is a 10 step process that you can’t circumvent via buttons, you HAVE to

Summer internship in San Diego does not scream buy a car for the summer, more like buy a Metro card and take public transport. Neither of you are factoring in parking, the cost and availability.

Neither do I, though the size 15/16 I get to wear aren’t that great either. Me going shoe shopping... Ooh! you have 3 different shoes that *might* fit?!? YESSSS!

Sorry, your right it’s .3 to .4% of the GDP. Still one product (granted with a pricetag of $100M) and it’s product line can be responsible for almost a half percent of the overall growth of the economy of the US is nuts.

Was listening to Marketplace on the traffic jam into work, the 737Max issues, while bad for Boeing, will actually lower the GDP of the entire USA by 1-2%! That’s insane.

Similarly I bought my step-fathers 2007 Lexus ES330, he did no maintenance outside of oil & tires. After I swapped out the radio and added a remote start, did all the required maintenance (including the rear shock replacement) I have a total of $5K in the car. It will roll 200K at the end of the year. As much as I

An acquaintance named their kid Alexa just before the Amazon device exploded onto the world, so in their case not only can Alexa start the car but Alexa can drive it ;)

What, no Saturn recommendations? They had plastic body panels for a reason!

If the padding in your bike shorts is providing actual suspension and shock absorption I have to ask if your buying your shorts from TempurPedic? I’ve been riding and racing for the better part of 20 years now and not once have I said ‘damn, these new Pearl shorts really have a chamois that provides noticeable shock

I guess I can say I had ‘half’ a CBX in my ‘80 or ‘81 XS850 three cylinder. I swapped out the pipes for a 3-2-1 and cafe’d it with flat bars and a straight seat. That was a fun bike and was my real entry into motorcycles. While it sounded good, that CBX... oof, that’s a screamer!

I think in your context you could easily substitute Nissan and still be correct. At least in recent history.

The swooshes are the tribal tattoos of the RV world. It was cool once (maybe) and everyone rushed to copy it.

“but a 2103 update brought the total output up to 130 HP and 140 foot-pounds of torque.” Was the CR-Z sent back from the future by Skynet? Somehow I don’t think that it would be able to stop a T-2000 ;)

Regarding the Insight and issues right off the bat.

Red 5 was pulled from the depths of the oceans just for this mustache.

I saw what will likely be the most unicorn car for me forever. Street parked, B5 VW Passat 4Motion W8 Wagon with a 5 speed, in Des Moines, Ia. According to R&T it’s on of the 97 ever sold in the US.

All I have to say is that if your going to take one of these things on your local dirt trails you also better sign up to help maintain them. As someone that has been pedaling bicycles for far too long (and over 40mph even!) and an avid MTB rider/racer I only ask that eMTB’ers help when the call goes out to fix up a

Drove my ‘70something Jeep Grand Wagoneer from Laramie to Des Moines without the rod that connected the pedal to the actual clutch. So it was all rev matching and starting in gear. You’ll be fiiiiiine. Also I’ll be following and maybe go wave as you pass by in Iowa. Good luck!

Big time NOPE. This was my dream car, had a 2003 w/ the 1.8T, leather, it was great. Then I learned about the ‘service position’ and it went downhill. Mandatory 5K, full synthetic only oil changes to mitigate the known and problematic oil sludge issue.
