Here is a more realistic "Dream Machine"

Minesweeper on Ultra!

yeah it is a pretty unnecessary spec boost at this point... but then again everything about the LPC is unnecessary. unused raw power is still raw power. But yeah, also with 16 drives you could split the difference with RAID 50 or RAID 60.

RAID 5 would give you more capacity, a valid choice. RAID10 gives you the highest performance, and that is what I was going for here.

It is impressive and will indeed collide pixels but for overall performance they didn't max out Drive Performance, either PCIe SSDs or RAID10 SSDs then they get my vote! That case could hold 16+ SSDs. So I am thinking a 16 Drive 256GB RAID 10 Array off of a PCIe RAID Card.

60Hz monitors?? I know they are big, but I feel like smaller 120Hz, or 144Hz monitors would give you a better gaming experience, really crank the value out of your 4 Titans. :-P

Sad they don't have PCIe RAID Cards as an option for expansion cards. I found the one I like and added it as a custom component so I could do RAID 10 with SATA 6Gb/s Ports. A man can dream can't he.

Fair enough, that is what I was assuming too. I just wasn't able to articulate it as succinctly.

I feel like the 50% failure rate for the 360 couldn't have been in the first week though? I can't find anything to tell me how that question was asked in the survey of users to amass that number. If it was 50% failed in the first year, or even 2 years? We have yet to see if there is an actual problem with the PS4.

Played with one in a GameStop this weekend. While I have never had a PlayStation so I am a little lost on that controller layout. It still felt really solid in my hands. Control was easy enough though I wasn't playing anything crazy (Knack Demo was pretty simple hack N Slash type gameplay). The stand out thing was the

It sounds like they are interested less in story and more in forms of interaction. The expo is an exploration of interesting ways we interact with and build virtual environments. And while there may be a 1st person game, it sounds like they made the choice that shooting is not interesting enough to warrant a place

I guess that is fair then. Makes me sad to hear you had such a bad go of it but a decent ping is pretty critical to having a good go of it. The twitchiness required is pretty high.

I still play the original Typing of the Dead 2 or 3 times a year. Definitely picking that up.

Where are you playing? US? and do you have a Mic? My experience has been the opposite, Vets were super welcoming and friendly, if I openly identified myself as new there was usually one or two people on the server who would talk me through things and explain mechanics. I have decent internet though, and my rig was

I love NS2, by far the best community I have ever experienced with an online shooter.

I think that buying only top tier cards, while impressive, most of us are not in a position to drop more than $300 on a graphics card... if even that (mine was $150 after a mail in rebate).

As a non-parent I can't speak with authority on this, but personally I would say it should be driven by logistical necessity. Meaning at the latest when they get a Drivers License, but earlier if heavy afterschool or sports programs require variable pick up and drop off requirements. And (again not a parent) but add

Yes and no, The bots they are talking about are not Pilots or Titans. There is a third meat grinder class that is only AI controlled. It is IMHO basically only there to provide increased "action" on levels large enough to accommodate the titans.

Good to know, but can I believe you since you didn't use any "I" words in your response. :-P

I am not sure 1 study analyzing one person's habits is worthy of saying "People" use I words less. Show me some analysis of ALL tweets or a sample of a few hundred to a few thousand people and I think we might have something. A counter hypothesis (also unsubstantiated by studying one person) is that radicalized
