Oh my god, that poor woman. But also, what a bamf. Good for her, and I’m glad that she seems to have at least one or two supportive extended family members--what she’s done takes an incredible amount of strength, and she deserves to have a life full of good people around her.

As someone who worked at Starbucks for seven years I can tell you that this actually does happen. We had one guy start as a barista, part time, who had been the head of a Fortune 500 company, and lost his job after he got into heroin. Easy for me to say, but...

I watched every episode of “The Americans” and never heard Rhys’s accent slip for a moment. Never. And I have a good ear for that sort of thing. It boggles my mind when I hear his real speaking voice!

I agree that she’s unlikely to win (although I still plan to vote for her tomorrow) I think the margin is going to be a lot closer than the polls will suggest. Also, I’m hoping that a surge of Nixon voters can help push Zephyr Teachout over the edge in the AG primary. That race is definitely within her grasp.
