This police officer was wrong but that does not mean that all cops are b@stards. That statement is no different than seeing one white guy behaving badly and saying all white people are evil. Replace white guy with some other minority in the US and think about how problematic that statement would be. Generalizing and

Believe it or not, this is how cops used to clock speeds back in the day.  Guess who the judge is going to believe.

Ah, I left race out. Apologizing for being an asshole seems fair, though is not something that is legally enforced. Also, both of the parties involved were assholes, so penalties cancel, driver’s ball, repeat 2nd down. or something.

When I was a teenager, my Dad got arrested when the police officer overheard him telling the hospital on the carphone that he would be there ‘as soon as this dumbass cop writes me a ticket’

A lot of small town judges have orthopedic surgeon sized God complexes that lead them into stupid actions. This dollar store Josef Stalin is about to summon a storm of criticism and lawsuits that may well end in impeachment like judge in The Civil Rights Lawyer YouTube series.

I am sorry that Officer Butthurt lacks the moral fortitude and emotional strength to withstand my verbal onslaught in which I asked him to maneuver his ass out of my direct path. I am sorry that he feels he needs an apology in order to move on with his life. I am also sorry to know that a judge believes it’s necessary

I’d be willing to donate to a gofund me for this guy’s lost wages if he goes to jail.

yeah Ozark is in the armpit of AL near Dothan. I can totally see this. I need to show up to the court with a “Nicholas Bull is a racist fuck” shirt on on the tenth.

If you can say it on national TV, hardly seems overly-offensive or disorderly conduct.

“I’m sorry your fat ass stood in front of my car.”

Apparently not, if there are law firms dedicated to getting people’s jets back after the government seizes them.

But that property is assigned an owner by the deed (cars and house) so by proxy it should have similar rights as the owner yea?

Ahh so this was just a completely irrelevant post so you could spout the word liberal and feel superior. Got it.

Property does not have any constitutional rights”

The Constitution requires timely hearings when people are accused of crime. It doesn’t say anything about timely hearings when property is accused of a crime, which is what happens in CAF. This is why you see asinine case names like “United States v Approximately Three Thousand Dollars in Cash” Property does not have

That’s how it’s been for decades. People have lost entire houses because a friend or relative stored drugs in the house without telling the homeowner. Seized by the government. Can’t get it back.

And very useful to point out that the mere “anti-civil forfeiture” = “pro-crime” connection that voters might make is an indication of just how absurdly stupid so many voters are. Hard to advance as a country when a large chunk of voters are just too stupid, irrational, and prone to dumbfuckery when making voting

“When police seize and then seek civil forfeiture of a car that was used to commit a drug offense, the Constitution requires a timely forfeiture hearing,”

I was hoping for a much better view of him being vigorously disrespected, and I’m generally in camp ACAB.

Now waiting for all the comments from the far-right peanut gallery about gestapo government and nazis and other related idiocy..
