This is the side of F1 i want to see more of. The human side. Enough with the bickering and infighting. Show me this NBCSN! We cought glimpses of it at COTA during all the delays. F1 needs a few laughs every now and then, even if Ferrari is a “serious organization” :D plus, Seb makes Nico look like the German in the

That’s a total load of crap. I don’t doubt that you heard it, but it was coming out of the mouth of someone that had no idea what they were talking about. Pretty much every permanent circuit that F1 runs on has track days.

This is really sad. I’m sitting in the paddock at COTA typing this, and this place is amazing. One driver told me today that this is the ultimate track in America. Here’s hoping they can fill the bleachers next time.

Damn you, Patrick, I’m very jealous that you got to take this car out. I was visiting the Petrol Lounge a couple weeks ago and was drooling over this car. It’s beautifully done.

I say this is reason #5436425415 Bernie should go, then. OF COURSE CHAMPIONSHIP PICS SHOULD BE IN COWBOY HATS.

Hockey helmets and gloves just so Hamilton and Rosberg can have a scrap on the podium.

Now playing

Not much better than Flea Market Montgomery (and Big Bill Hell’s if we’re talking about cars) though.

Spokes Sports Car Club put on a Big Wheel ProSolo at this year’s autocross national championships in the paddock area. Competitive people mixed with alcohol and drift trikes is a pretty fantastic combination :D

Yes, Edge Addicts was to be out there on Sunday, and the Cupcake Meet drift/stance crowd were supposed to be there tomorrow. I know for a fact that COTA has pulled the plug on Sunday; I can only assume that they’ve done the same for Saturday.

I just want that Nissan IDX from last year.

The last 10 laps I was rooting for someone to crash or take another out so he could get a points finish. Sadly that didn’t happen.

Or drive up to Llano and hit Coopers.

That is true the yellow bar is much easier to see. Rossi had the yellow one in Singapore, so he will probably have it again. I thought you were saying that one of them was a secondary driver to the other.

Y’know, I think the flat-screen TV is a major cause of death for the conversion van. You don’t need a big rooftop area to fit an entire CRT and VCR anymore, and with this the minivan could go toe to toe on the edutainment (vom) front.

Except the brakes do fade in the race, they regularly overheat and sometimes burn, and they have to be kept within their working range (i.e. use them but don’t ruin your lap time, and drive fast but don’t use too much brake stopping or you’ll overheat them, and get enough but not too much cooling...) Oh yeah, and this

If you think getting along with your wife of a quarter century is being pussy whipped, you're a shitty husband.

Buzzwords are the worst thing to happen to journalism. The fact that you can now add -gate and -ghazi to scandals that have nothing to do with Watergate Hotel or Benghazi and everyone is okay with this makes me lose my mind. It's not edgy or clever, it's stupid and it's somehow become the norm

The Feds subsidize homes by making mortgage interest tax deductible. Is your home “private?”

Have one on me.

Maybe you are exaggerating (I’m hoping for your sake), but if your wife is that superficial and image conscious that she won’t even ride in your Focus ST to non-family events, that’s a bigger problem than her just not liking the ST. And if they are the same seats that are in the Fiesta ST I agree. They are too narrow
