Oh, I’m sure the absolute deciding factor for North Korea to nuke a country is Trump taunting them. No other reason would do it.

People should always be more concerned with the legislative branch than the President, because they make stuff into law, and effect more change. Just wish there were term limits in Congress.

Well, I’m a brown male and I still don’t think it’s the end of america.

Pretty sure I am in the real world. Trump’s an embarrassing crap President that will likely leave behind some damage when his term is over, but...end of America or Apocalypse? That is some hyperbolic nonsense if you actually believe that. He’s been slow to do anything about Obamacare, and that’s something his party

you can’t do “Douche vs. Turd Sandwich” anymore because it’s more like, Turd Sandwich vs. Apocalypse. And that’s the most recent election, right? A lot of people didn’t think Hillary Clinton was a great, appetizing choice, but the other choice literally could be the end of America as we know it.

It’s interesting to me that you guys are discussing the change in South Park’s humor under the premise that the show has gotten less funny, when I actually would very much argue the opposite: the show has gotten exponentially funnier over the years, peaking in the early to mid 2010s and still holding on to a lot of

I think this whole “South Park sucks now because they’re telling people not to care about things” is a really shallow reading of Trey and Matt’s body of work. It’s never promoted the idea that caring about things is stupid, rather it focuses on the tenancy for people to let their initial concern for a reasonable cause

I agree. The comedy focus of SP over the years has shifted from satirizing hypothetical responses to holding up a satirical mirror and telling people “this is what you look like”. Naturally most people don’t like what they see.

If you liked the Book of Mormon but don’t like South Park anymore, I’m extremely skeptical about the sincerity of any argument for the latter that isn’t “I don’t like it when they needle some of the absurd extremities people I agree with or sympathize with take their arguments to”.

More hyperbole.

I think it’s pretty OK actually. Great job, booming 401k, more freedom than most places on Earth, and plenty of entertainment. The same people that think the current time is always the worst time in history are usually the ones that think the rapture is just right around the corner for the last 2,000 years.

I’m sure

Wait, did I miss something? Who exactly was it that he has murdered?

I came to the article to see what the crew said when they came out (because, you know, that’dve been interesting).

The more things change, the more they seem to stay the same...

Seriously, it’s getting really goddamned old.

You guys need to get over the “Earth is horrible” hyperbole and get some perspective. What era has been the golden age against which you’re comparing modern day “fresh hell” Earth?

Read: Gizmodo Media Group will have to pick a different, less fucking annoying advertising strategy.

I don’t have ad-blockers on my browsers, because I know it hurts the sites I like and that it’s a small price to pay to support my favorite sites.

More power to them, they clearly know their audience. Although I’ll never understand why anyone would pay them when porn is free all over the internet.

There’s two things I know: don’t try to rap battle Eminem and don’t try to attack South Park. You will lose. Badly.
