I don’t normally squee, but I sure as hell did when this started downloading earlier today. Woo hoo!

Alan Young also popped up as the Time Traveler’s friend in the 1960 film of The Time Machine.

I remember the old days at SF cons in the states; costume contests frequently had some nudity.

Already put in my pre-order. I guess that “book” about Toussaint that you can get in the main story was a nice little tease for this. I just started playing the first Dark Souls for the first time; I am going to drop it like a hot potato when Blood & Wine comes out.

You, too? Shit.

Soapdish?! Love it as it is. It’s one of those movies I will stop on every time, if it’s on cable and I’m channel surfing. Isn’t Telenovela the current version?

I’ve been thinking a lot about him as a musician today. One of the reasons it hit me hard is that he stood in opposition to the way popular music is done now. He was more than competent in any musical genre you could name, played almost any instrument, and didn’t allow himself to be pigeonholed. Diversity is life,

Good god! How did I miss this til today? I didn’t get a little teary about losing Prince til I started watching this video. What a showman.

It is so hard to process this. I have always leaned on music to help me deal with the rough spots in life, and to celebrate the good parts. Prince and Bowie were great for both. And now, to lose in one year two of the artists that spoke to those who were different, who said and showed that the oddballs and weirdos

Fine. G-Fan for 50 years here. I have to say this does not give me the warm fuzzies. The first shot of its head looks like a hand puppet (it may be a homage to the one used in the 1954 film, but come on). That tail is ridiculously out of proportion. It wagging Godzilla would be more like it. Time to re-watch the 90's

Upstate NY is nice. Due to a depressed economy homes and rents are relatively cheap. And there are Wegmans supermarkets! Mmmmm, Wegmans.

Travolta wants foil on the windows because his ego is so large it pushes the foil hats off his head.

With that land-walking blobfish? No thanks.

Ariana Grande wasn’t on my radar because I don’t have a lot of time for music these days...but damn, now I have to check out her music. I was really impressed with her switching up styles and with her voice. I thought she was pretty damn funny too (keeping that deer in the headlights look the whole way through that

The radio show Weekend Radio with Robert Conrad (also at www.ideastream.org) occasionally would play her recordings. I’m not a fan of comedies of embarrassment and really found listening to her uncomfortable.

Crap. Assholes. I thought the initial Last Shadow Puppets album was pretty good and Kane had a song I liked; I can’t give more money to this doofus.

It was amusing listening to Will Shortz try to tiptoe around this on NPR this past Sunday morning, just after his regularly scheduled weekly segment. Him being the Times puzzle editor and all.

It’s grace notes like this silly character that get me interested in a game. In a unrelated note, I’ve played too much Witcher 3; that hollow log in the video made me itch to check for florens and orens.

My wife is not a sports fan. Last night I got her to watch the compilation tape of all 12 of Curry’s 3's from that game. She then had me look up his half-court shot videos. It’s all over the internet, not just Gawker, because Curry is one of those transcendent sports figures that get everyone’s attention. We can’t

Guess I’m an outlier. I like the Sunday Comics. Sure, some weeks are stronger than others, but so what? Please keep them coming.
