Yay! Ore Monogatari! My wife and I are really enjoying this one.

Pyrex and Corningware are the shit. I grew up in Corning NY, glass capitol of the US, and it was always around. We still have old cookware and glassware from Corning that is still good.

Now I will consider this...but I gotta get through Witcher first.

I want The Devil Rides Out on BluRay.

I really don’t know why I’m such a Christopher Lee fan. I can’t pinpoint an exact reason why he became one of my favorite actors, or why I’m still so upset at his passing. But I’m genuinely sad and I just want to try to explain how much he meant to me, even if I can’t really explain why.

So where was the Benny Hill music for that heist?

I haven’t read throught the comments, but how much earthquake tolerance is being built in? When I lived on 193rd St near Inwood Park, we had an earthquake in the early 80’s that had enough motion to wake me from a sound sleep, gripping the mattress. It sounded like an approaching subway train that never got any closer.

My favorite actor. What a presence. I liked him best in The Devil Rides Out; it was one of his few lead hero roles and it’s a fun movie, though let down by some of the effects.

I wish we had more Ealing films available in this country. They had a great run. I really want to see “Whisky Galore!” but Turner Movies usually just shows the most notable ones like ladykillers or Kind Hearts and Coronets.

Spiedies. Marinated meat, usually pork or chicken, grilled and served on a sandwich. When it’s done well it’s great.

I almost get teary-eyed watching this. Thank you NASA!

Michigan J. Frog. Always welcome, never stale. And while I haven’d had as much time to play Witcher as I’d like, I did encounter the serf from the “Ministry of Silly Walks” clip from another Highlight Reel the other day.

I like the other voice actor better. This guy was forcing it and his tone just seems wrong.

I haven’t had too much time to play yet - in fact I got rid of stuff I needed and had to restart - but it’s a blast. Great game.

He resigned because he is transitioning to a full-sized sphincter and needs the extra time.

Everyone is talking about the actor - and The Rock has the comedic chops at least. I really liked The Rundown. But who do you think would be a good director for this? Stephen Chow would be perfect, in my opinion; he can handle action and comedy.

And I thought the old pic of my daughter as a baby, on a platter, with us and our housemates holding forks and spoons around her, was a bit iffy...

I’m all in favor of The First Church of “Hello, Sailor.”

I don’t know about broken, I’m a few hours in running Witcher 3 on an i7 core and a GTX 750 with no issues...got it on 30 fps but most settings on ultra, no glitches other than a briefly hovering horse. Certainly nothing like the amazing flying mammoths I had in Skyrim.

As much as I love Terry Pratchett’s books, Tanith Lee made a much bigger impression on me. I bought “The Birthgrave” when it came out; I was buying any fantasy that looked interesting, burning through books feverishly. DAW books usually were good value. After I read Birthgrave I bought any of her books I could find.
