As a kid, I owned the entire Venom: Lethal Protector limited series, and I probably reread that thing dozens of times. So, yeah, kids love symbiotes.

This movie is going to be so 90s!

Sure, if Lucas raped some kids back in the day, then that's a legit statement. Otherwise, stop being so fucking whiny.

Four words: Lucas…raped…my…childhood.

I have a pretty lengthy list of movies I'm somewhat interested in watching on Netflix, but the DVD service is still absolutely necessary. I get two at a time, and it's an incredible selection for not much money. If they ever get rid of the DVD service, I'll likely just cancel my subscription altogether.

I hope that's not the case. I really liked the latest season, and with a little bit of elbow grease, I think it could get even better. The show can't cost that much to produce, and there are so many other shitty shows on Netflix, I would be surprised if they cancelled one that's both cheap and well received.

Be careful. If you inject that much MacGyver into your system in that short of time, there's a good chance that you will never dislodge that theme song from your mind ever again.

They really need a director who came up in the New Hollywood of the 70s, started by making idiosyncratic and personal films and then parlayed that into a career creating large, family friendly entertainment loved by the masses. I haven't read this entire interview, but it sounds less like the new Batman movie will be Hitchcockian as it does that Reeves is influenced by how Hitchcock is concerned with making sure the audience is visually invested within a single character's perspective.

This is the problem with the Marvelfication of Star Wars. The studio has a tight reign on the material and distinctive voices get muffled.

That's cool with me. I need dress shoes, and I'm looking for a talented shoemaker, so the timing here works perfectly.

I'm just waiting for the day that Bannon's liver shuts down.

Happy Birthday Song: The Movie somehow makes more sense to me than an emoji movie.

On the one hand, I'm not automatically against making Dracula a romantic hero. I'm of the belief that adaptations need to make some radical changes otherwise what's the point? On the other hand, making Dracula a romantic hero has been done to death at this point. It's no longer a very interesting take on the source

I think it disappointed because it was so uneven, not because it was an unabashedly terrible show. Even at its best, each season consisted of two good episodes and one crappy episode.

It was kind of a steam punk Dracula. It wasn't that great, but I think it had potential.

But isn't the fact that owner of the Redskins is cheering on this ruling implicitly suggesting that the name is racist?

Don't patronize me!

So, I've heard conflicting reports as to whether these Cloverfield movies are actually tied together as an "expanded universe" or if they're just basically an anthology series. Which is it?

"people also want to spend their June evenings watching bikini-clad women stranded in small spaces by sharks."
