I think the time is right for my Night of the Dead screenplay where the twist is there are no zombies. A bunch of people gather at a farm and talk about politics, life, and the universe. If you're reading this, Richard Linklater, call me.

Yes, but there's a lesson in all of this. Never trust a eunuch.

Shit! Han dies! Spoiler alert.

I'm against outing people, but it has long been used as a political tool by the gay community. I don't think they should have outed Thiel, but the original author was gay and claims he was doing so for a larger social purposed. I don't agree with this decision, but it's not something you should have your magazine sued

I actually think this is a shame. Sure, Gawker published some repugnant shit, especially during the aughts if memory serves, but they also published some important stories. Valleywag, which garnered Thiel's ire, was a pretty important publication during the days where just about every source of media was fawning over

Oh, I'm not being snarky. I was genuinely surprised, but, yeah, it looks like she's pretty serious about her craft. If I had an easier time of getting into poetry, I might check out her work.

Wait, Amber Tamblyn's a poet?

At least you know you'll have the theater to yourself.

These days I'm far more excited for the most recent Laika film than Pixar. Don't get me wrong, I like Pixar just fine, Find Dory was a lot of fun, but Laika seems to be pushing American animation forward in a way that Pixar has mostly given up on.

I completely forgot about this remake until I encountered a couple of previews a few weeks ago. And they were bizarrely sub par. The trailers looked like they were advertising for a direct to video movie, not a large production released by a major studio. They also couldn't make up their mind about how to sell the

True, but that wasn't the narrative I had been given back in high school.

It makes me happy to see the reputation of the 60s Batman increase in recent years. I remember growing up having the attitude that Frank Miller had to save us from the Adam West Batman. In high school I rented the '66 Batman movie with some friends because we thought it was going to be terrible, but it became apparent

I can't remember if Crackle greenlit Joe Dirt 2 before Netflix made that deal with Adam Sandler. But if they did, then this might be the only time that people can claim Netflix stole an idea from Crackle.

It's all right, but it's no 30 Odd Foot of Grunts.

No Kim Deal = No Deal

From that panel at least we got Bill Nye losing his cool a little and being kind of a dick (and not without his reasons).

They never were able to get the panel to work. The time was too constrained and some of the comedians were more interested in making hit and miss quips than actually discussing the issues.

This is an example of a "plot hole" that's basically the internet whining that not every single detail was explained to them, because from the film you could come up with a number of reasonable explanations.

Last winter, I had a bad mouse problem and a string of really shitty exterminators. I had to kill two mice with a broom. I was both disgusted by my actions and secretly proud that I had the guts to defend hearth and home. Good luck with the mouse proofing.

Agreed. I also thought the Batman: Assault on Arkham direct to video movie was solid.
