This is one of a very small handful of currently running series that I enjoy without reservation. It's really trying to do something different with the format of a television show, which just doesn't happen much these days.

Spoiler: Thanos is defeated when he forgets to order more chair fuel.

The first season starts slowly but gathers momentum over time. I obviously think it's worth the investment.

I mentioned this elsewhere, but it's worth writing again: season two of Marco Polo is a delight. It's a well paced and well told season of television. It improves on the first season in just about every way.

Since this is just a list of albums AV Club hasn't covered yet this year, I'm going to mention Boston's own Hallelujah the Hills's latest, A Band Is Something to Figure Out. They're the kind of band that twenty years ago every major label would have been clamoring over, but in 2016 they feel like your own little

I'm willing to bet that most Republicans don't really understand conservatism. Hence things like "Keep the government out of medicare" and how they flocked towards Donald Trump even though he's a pretty obvious case of an RINO. They might like the vague words associated with conservatism, but they don't have a grasp

Not true. You forget about the monsters Gong Li fought in The Story of Qiu Ju, the monsters of an incompetent bureaucracy and a rapidly changing economy.

American Sniper wasn't a great film, but it also wasn't an inherently conservative movie either. I think there's a reading of that film where Mr. Sniper is actually trying to convince himself that he needs to be "over there" for some greater good that he knows doesn't really exist, and I think that Cooper's

I mostly like the new GBV album, but it doesn't have the same sense of urgency as the last six reunion albums, which really felt like Pollard had gotten the band back together. Rightly or wrongly, I kind of assumed, he wanted a few extra bucks and decided to file the album under the GBV title rather than as a solo

Name recognition for American audiences I would guess. I remarked once that the quality of each episode in the first season was inversely proportional to the amount of screen time Marco Polo received. They've managed to make him a little more interesting in season two, and they've improved on Jingim's character.

So I'm nearing the end of season 2 of Marco Polo, and I don't know why that show doesn't get more attention. All the reviews initially focused on the slightly stiff first few episodes and didn't stick around towards the end of the season when it started to find its way, and now the second season has really got a

Soooo, Bitcoin the TV show?

The Visit is a fun little horror/thriller. It's a film that surprises you by being competent. If it were Shyamalan's first film, I don't think people would be singing its praises, exactly, but it's probably his best since Signs.

Why stop there? We can have a poker film cinematic universe. Maybe Maverick can show up at the table through some sort of time travel mishap. The possibilities are endless!

Save it for the sequel.

I can catch you up even more quickly: Matt Damon punches people.

There better be bread at the craft table.

Man, the end of this review is a real bummer. I have a couple of Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings albums, and they're great. Here's hoping she gets to make music for years to come.

Well, that should at least appease all those people who wanted movie flash played by TV Flash.

I'm still not buying it.
