This movie may suck, but with worldwide gross and Batman starring, it will absolutely make a profit. But I'm sure Suicide Squad is WB's backup plan.

The friendship and comradery between the two really shined through on their records. Even though they were in their late teens and early twenties, they could still reminisce about the good old days because they knew each other for so long.

"After WOD heard Kozelek had told them to “suck my fucking dick” from the stage, the back-and-forth escalated in the press until Kozelek decided to memorialize it in song."

Just reading that sentence makes me flashback to the early aughts.

The music is widely available online, though. And, spoiler alert, it's really fucking corny.

That makes a little more sense now. (I never owned the albums personally). But, yeah, it's big jump from having someone cowrite the songs to claiming that Love is some talentless hack who has to have a man write all of her material.

I recently relistened to Live Through This and Celebrity Skin, which I had mostly dismissed as a kid because they were written by Courtney Love. She may be an awful person to be around, but those are damn good albums.

And now you know the rest of the story…

You might be interested in Paul Dini's run on Detective Comics from the mid to late aughts. I remember his work being overshadowed by Grant Morrison's Batman book, but while I like Morrison, I actually thought Dini was the better and more consistent writer. Anyway, he purposefully tried to emphasize the detective

Nobody wants to see a fantasy film where the lady orcs are unfuckable.

You've got Santa Clause sitting right there and somehow you don't use "How do you deliver all those presents in a single night?" as one of your questions!

I'll actually defend Man of Steel, but Watchmen was the sort of dumb adaptation I expected from him as filmmaker. Despite being relatively faithful to the source material, Snyder managed to sandpaper the edges off of the original comic. He's just not smart enough to actually engage with ideas in moderately intelligent

I guess this pretty much confirms Zack Snyder as a libertarian and shows why his Watchman film failed so spectacularly. The internet too often views Rorschach as the hero of the comic, and Snyder reproduced this viewpoint by removing any suggestion that he's a reactionary anti-Semite. At best, Snyder's just kind of

I wish Andy Rooney were still alive so we could get his take on this youngin' trying to take his place. He would probably have a heart attack after watch this video. And then I would post a video on Facebook in mourning.

ABC is kicking themselves for not including David's sick harp shredding skills in the first episode.

There's something about the Honest Trailers that just grates on me. I'm all for poking fun of bad movies when it's done by people who genuinely like movies. The MST3K guys seemed to have actual affection for the terrible movies they were watching. The Honest Trailers guys just find anything and everything to bitch

For whatever reason, I watched that movie, and it's basically a big commercial for the Special Olympics, which is probably why they were okay with the use of the name.

The Bronze? The Bronze? I swear I've heard about this film from somewhere, but I can't remember where.

This is one of the best Newswires is a long time. Thanks for that photoshop at the bottom.
