As the tipster for this article, you can rest assured I first wrote about this in speakup yesterday, a solid 24 hours before Notch tweeted/twittered/what-have-you.

Really? Wario Land 2? Never played it, though I played the crap outta the first Wario Land. Glad you enjoyed it. He's already received offers to remake the game with unique assets on a different engine, so who knows where it'll lead? I'm just such a sucker for fresh takes on interactive storytelling, so projects

High five accepted.

It was actually a friend of a friend, but close enough :P

Oh man. Please let Soundtrack Spotlight be a recurring feature.

What did you think?

Ahh gotcha. It is a great song, though I'm sorry to say it's been at least temporarily ruined for me by some 100 playthroughs in Rock Band. That said, love Chris Cornell's voice.

Always glad to find another Elbow fan! I can't make out your avatar, but it looks like Munch's Scream meets Einstein.

Oh man. That header image. Photoshop contest waiting to happen. Put gaming execs into summer blockbusters.

I posted this in speakup earlier, but a friend of a friend recently released a Half Life 2 mod called The Stanley Parable.

Very true, though punk's not really my thing :P

Oh yeah. A lot of good music comes through.

Love the people and the scenery, hate every goddamned thing about the politics.

Leland Yee says, "Will somebody please think of the children?"

I get that they aren't including spinoffs here, but I'm upset by the lack of Sonic Spinball.

I'd be curious to see what kind of increase Uncharted 2's multiplayer has received in the past few weeks.

Hah, you're definitely not bragging. I'm still in school, got one year to go, but I do plan on working in the industry after I graduate. When I went to E3 in 2009 I was there under my own name but last year I got in through.....somewhat questionable means, and despite having a great time I decided the next time I go

Same here. I remember reading about E3 in Nintendo Power and EGM back in the 90's and wanting to go more than anything. I didn't go this year, but I went in 2009 and 2010. Seriously, dream come true.

I would love to see this article updated as more faces in the industry provide their thoughts. Fantastic read.

I'm not really sure, though the idealist in me wants to believe its because they wanted to help the relatively small video game scene in NYC to grow. They took a gamble setting up shop there, and unfortunately it didn't seem to pay off.
