I'm sure the consoles being foreign were the main reason behind the ban, but I don't recall reading anything besides "Consoles banned in China."

Wait, hold on. How is this allowed? The ban wasn't against Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo, it was against consoles.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how much longer the Supreme Court has before they have to release their verdict on the California video games bill? It seems like it's been forever...

Here's some more countries, courtesy of Joystiq via Mark MacDonald's Twitter.

There also seems to be a Somebody Else's Problem field in effect, so who cares?

That reminds me. I've been meaning to reread the "trilogy" for quite some time. It's been too long!

Huuuuge Douglas Adams fan here. I'm particularly fond of this gem from the introduction to Mostly Harmless:

For me I'd expect SotC to be more of a yellowish-gray, basically the color of the sky throughout the game. That seems much more vivid to me than the gray presented here that I'm assuming represents the colossi. As for Pac-Man....yeah, pretty much :P

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. But hopefully, like "the cake is a lie," whatever memes this game generates won't make much sense out of context.

And now to stay spoiler-free until I play the game in June! *turns off computer*

My God....can you imagine if Valve and J.J. Abrams codeveloped an ARG? It would span a year and require manned space flight, at the very least.

I still find it strange whenever I see a gaming-related article pop up on the New York Times' website. Granted, everything seems to be written by one guy (Seth Schiesel), but it feels nice to have a mainstream publication posting a large number of gaming-related articles that aren't in the least bit negative.

Did you read the tiny text in the top right during that bit? Even better.

I'm disappointed there isn't a tiny red dot to the left of the screen, but they got the speaker ridges in the bottom right, so we good :P

Reposted from Speakup:

Still wish this game was coming out April 1st...

I think there's greater potential in a marketing campaign involving porta-potties, personally.

So, you'd say, recommended, but with a few reservations? I can deal with that. :P

Raising the volcano to access the lost world in DKC3 is actually a perfect example of what a world map can do that a traditional level select screen can't. It brought additional gameplay and a sense of mystery to a game with practically no plot.
