So what exactly is Hollywood's long-term plan here (assuming they even have a long-term plan, that is)? Keep releasing average-to-horrible video game adaptations of the same handful of IPs until someone gets it right, and then the floodgates will open and we'll get the great video game films we've all been clamoring…

The way I see it, it kind of depends on the type of game the developer is trying to make. It is certainly more difficult to maintain a consistent vision when you have a team of 100+ people, but it's been done many times before. Contrarily, having a small team doesn't necessarily mean your game will perfectly…
