They actually did this at the hospital my wife delivered at. She, er, *bled* a lot and rather than using a normal ice pack they did the diaper thing. It worked really, really well. Plus as a parent you usually have some of the outgrown diapers left over anyway.

As ridiculous as it sounds, I use both. I run the vacuum, hit the computer with compressed air in the direction of the vacuum, and it sucks it right in. That way the dust blow in the air and mess with your sinuses.

Am I the only person whose checking account would not get cleaned out by a $1000 hold? I make less than $30k a year but I somehow manage to not spend my checking account to the last dime.

Can you guys do a Night School on AutoHotKey? I sometimes consider trying to learn it but I just install, run it, stare at it for awhile, then just give up or find an already existing script.

I have no problem 3D specifically - it's a tool and if it's done well it looks great. Avatar in 3D at IMAX, for example, was fantastic - probably because it was filmed and shot with specific attention to it being in IMAX and in 3D. Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D (though a hokey movie) had several 3D gags

Have you considered the Viewsonic Gpad? It's got a Tegra2 procesor (like the Xoom) but it's pretty cheap now (I think around $279). The only problem is it ships with a horrible distro of Android, so I'd only recommend it if you're comfortable with installing different ROMs.

I was just about to post the same thing.

The problem is that quiet, "Hey I found this bug" results in nothing happening. Full blown media attention, however...

It's also much more expensive.

Wait - do you rub dishwasher soap into the oily plastic container or dish soap? I think they're two different things (do I use Cascade or Palmolive?)

As a system admin at my company who can't seem to get people to embrace the web app, I can tell you all my problems with Outlook.

If you use the whole blender, you get an even better mouse trap.

Totally agree, and I had pet hamsters and rats.

It's amazing the little tips you never knew about; I consider myself to be an advanced excel user (CSE Formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.) and I've never heard of turning off automatic calculations. This is going to help a lot with my ridiculous large datasets that I know don't need calculating until the end (when I can go grab

There's got to be a way to do this in Tasker and use it on my tablet.

It looks like someone took their worst game of Tetris, and then made it for you to buy.

I actually like Tweetcaster; not sure if other clients have it, but the "zip it" function for me is awesome. Plus it was an Amazon App of the Day, so cost to me = Zero.

For our Ikea book case lamps, which sit on either side of our TV, I ran the power adapters to a switch that you can program to use your normal TV remote. Since we have a programmable remote, I just used the signal from an old VCR we don't use, and mapped it to button that is also not used.
