True - more than a couple people have had gotten into trouble with the state police trying to take pictures of the Cogen Plant (the factory with the crazy pipes all over the place) and the "Drive Safely" silo from the Sopranos.

If I saved all the photos I put on Flickr, I'd have no hard drive space left. For me, the whole unlimited storage on Flickr is the whole point; I get it off my system with enterprise level backup. Whatever Yahoo uses to backup Flickr is a heck of a lot more stable than anything I could come up with.

As an early PPC adopter from the WM 2003 days, I have to say it is about frakking time.

I've told this so many times to people who stretch before a workout, and they insist they'll get cramps otherwise. At some point the placebo effect takes over and they're convinced that stretching before a workout is necessary. Maybe I'll send them this link.

The thing I love about chrome is that it handles each tab as a separate process. That way a javascript error that starts a memory leak only affects one tab, not the entire browser.

Considering half the time Blogger and Youtube have things relevant to my search, this really wouldn't help me much.

Metapad over here, too.

I wear a breast cancer awareness bracelet, and I've used it as a grip for stubborn lids in a pinch. You can use rubber bands, too (which I also wear on my wrist) but the bracelet is easier.

Anybody know of a text to speech converter for Windows Mobile? Sometimes I like looking up random wikipedia articles, and being able to listen to them while driving would be great!

When it comes to whether or not to sleep in on weekends, there is always science-backed articles going back and forth on the subject. I've heard this advice flip over and over again for years.

@x3r0: To be fair, a lot of times problems with Windows phones are not specific to all Windows phones. I HATED my xv6700 because it would lock up all the time and had to be reset constantly. Since it was my only experiencing moving from PPC 2003 to WM5, I figured WM5 was just terrible (or that my phone was terrible).

I had this on my windows mobile phone for awhile, but I eventually switched to the RealVNC one.

I now have a great idea for a Trojan horse that steals sensitive numbers.

For those of you whining about Lifehacker talking about ROMs:

@massysett: Agreed on the drywall anchors. There's tension here, but the right drywall anchor should suffice, especially if it's pulling on it at a 90 degree angle.

As an amateur photographer, I agree that you can't beat Photoshop for its level of control. But opening up a file to adjust levels and do some minor cropping or color correction in 1 of 60 photos I care a *little* about is annoying, especially when you consider I could do it in Picasa in 30 seconds in a way that

Not for anything, but I believe that for every video tutorial there should be a static web page version as well.

I <3 Netvibes.

@matthew_k: I second a sling bag - it just makes sense for cameras.
