I understand how ridiculously slow this would be, but I would LOVE to get any OS on a USB stick that ran as a virtual machine. So like, if I could go to a friend's place, slap my USB drive in, and then work off my own programs, web browser, email, files, etc., and then take it out when I'm done, all without restarting

I love del.icio.us but I've never done anything social with it.

Can someone please work on syncing the iPhone with MS Exchange? Like, a way that doesn't involve some wacky dance with Yahoo servers?

This is bad news for us, since our Web VPN client doens't work with IE7.

I know this isn't what the article is necessarily about, but I used to use pseudonumerology to memorize long numbers. It takes a bit of effort, though, and after awhile I realized writing it down was actually just easier (especially if you have a pda).

For a similarly sized audience, "How to make a Laptop sleeve using $100 bills you have lying around the house along using transparent duct tape and Action Comics Issue 1."

I can heartily recommend VMWare; it works great on my Ubuntu setup.

I have done a variation of this procedure for a long time as a shortcut for certain html files, and it never occured to me to use it for batch files. This is awesome!

After I started using [meebo.com] I stopped using chat client software. It doesn't have all the bells, but it does what I need it to do and goes across different networks.

The best cord management solution I have ever used was actually featured in lifehacker a couple years ago:

I didn't even know about CTRL + L; I've been using ALT + D. Curiously, I think they do the same thing...

As if to punish me for my insolence, [jot.com] and [jotspot.com] are giving me Network Solutions splash pages.
