Interesting article on why Yahoo should accept:

Why is nothing as good as Strokeit?

@holymogwai: Totally agree. Same people who see "YOU'RE COMPUTER IS INFECTED! INSTALL SHADY ANTIVIRUS NIGERIAN VIAGRA SWEEPER" click "Install", and call me an hour later with tech support issues.

I am so very tired of "is a mac, is a pc" bs. That includes the actual commercials as well as the horrible meme it has left in its wake.

Also, play with the formats - if you convert it with the wrong settings it can look funny on your tv (stretched or squashed). I know mine were wrong by default.

Just wanted to throw in that I use this ALL THE TIME - it's freakin' awesome. I usually VNC from my office, torrent a movie, then VNC again to start the converter. The only downside is it can take a couple hours for longer movies to finish converting.

I've been looking for something like this - good find!

Also, MS owning Flickr would help drive Photosynth, which is a hell of a lot more innovative than anything in the Google Labs queue.

"We take Internet openness, choice and innovation seriously."

I want to second Perfect Table Plan (www.perfecttableplan.com) although we had hefty use of Google Docs and Google Spreadsheet. We wrote our own vows collaboratively for awhile, and task management was easy (although it would've been great if there was an actual task management tool in Google).

@Lazarus: I think you can only nest them three times - after that it gives you some hate.

@Jos: He said "without grabbing each picture individually", so I'd recommend a firefox plugin like DownThemAll which saves lots of media on a page at the same time.

I just installed this - this is pretty awesome! It has some pretty good functions like searching your facebook friends, and is really intuitive. Also, I saw a function that said "Enable GPS if available" so I'm really curious what that can be used for. Good find =)

That's pretty good. I can also recommend YubNub, though you'd have to memorize keywords. It's my mobile's default home page.

@Bob Brown: You can send it with another return address, but some (including Outlook) see the difference with the x-sender field and it renders as "Sent on Behalf of". It totally kills the usefulness of the thing.

Also, if it spoofs the email the way most email is spoofed, it will go directly into many peoples spam folders. Outlook in particular is very junk-folder happy with spoofed emails.

Does anyone know a consistent way to measure a tie before you tie it? I do a double windsor, but whenever I get a new tie or borrow one, it takes me a couple tries to get it the right length. Any tips?

@sjwgator: Different uses for different people. My boss installed Parallels and it's the only way he can run Quickbooks Online or SmartDraw. I myself am on Linux, and if it wasn't for Wine and VMWare, I wouldn't have AutoCAD, Yahoo Music Unlimited, Picasa, or Photoshop.

I will definitely try showmypc.com, but I came on to also say I've used crossloop and it has saved me a ton of time with tech-challenged people who needed help getting systems set up.
